Hello everyone out there! In this small device that’s all of the far shore…

Crazy how this tiny lil’ thing can do so much, ain’t it? Ya can even see a map o’the place an’ it’ll tell ya how to get somewheres.

It tells you things like that too?

Looks like it...Ah knew ‘bout the map, but Ah just poked ‘round on mine an’ it asked if Ah wanted to go to an address an’ told me how to get there...

Well that’s certainly interesting, one more thing to look into but perhaps we should just go right into--

...Wait is this thing even on? [Tap tap] Oh, shoot. Hold on…

[Finagling! There’s a bit of noise as she mutters and then the red light finally comes on! And the screen is mostly a giant purple eye, oops.]

Is it working now?

Ah think so! But uh, might...wanna back up a lil’ bit…

Back up? [ The eye gets farther and turns into a head and shoulders. ] Here?

Lil bit more Maybe? But that’s better than a screenful o’eyeball.

Oh, right I suppose that would be best, especially since there’s a small performance. [ He backs up further until half of his body is shown. A man with cat ears and tail stands before Nephenee, who’s clad in her normal blue and green armour. She’s a bit more focused on his device now that the feed is better.] That’s good for now [Nephenee nudges him slightly.]

Ah yes! Hello again! My name is Ranulf...or Hermes but please call me Ranulf. And this delightful helper of mine is Nephenee!

H-hi! [She sputters a little at that description.]

We come from the same world, and since ours seems to be a little...strange to most, and this device can talk to a lot of people at once, why not try and discuss it to clarify a few things. [ He grins happily ] And don’t worry it’s nothing bad.

[ He twitches his ears and his tail flicks ] For those curious, I’m a laguz from the cat tribe in my world. There are different tribes of us and we all can do a little something like this [ imgur.com/a/EQ6bfWB <<Something like this he gives a small roar before he jumps back as his usual self ] All those that can do that in our world are known as laguz, beast, bird, dragon, and all that.

However, those that aren’t laguz [He points to Nephenee, who is currently twirling a strip of leather on her lance absently as she listens.] are known as beorc in our world. And, history being complicated the normal word that many here use is...a bit of a bad one for myself and my brothers to use.

Y’all’d call beorcs ‘humans’ in the Far Shore an’ Near Shore. But uh, we use beorc back home. ‘Human’s kinda...taboo.

[ Ranulf chuckles lightly, nodding his head ] Thank you Nephenee, and that’s how it is. So apologies to those who get confused by that, there is no harm done, it’s merely a habit for myself that I can’t quite take upon to break. And from what I heard there are those similar to me but are not laguz, so I can’t speak for them on the terms they use.

[ He does a stretch with his arms ] And that’s all. If you have any questions I’ll try my best to answer them. Other than that, I thank you for listening and I hope we can get along and help out this world.
