Hi all. Um...not real good at this so please forgive me if I do it wrong.

Since I been here, I've been doin a little readin bout the god I'm supposed to be, and while my Ma taught me how to be hospitable, I'm not that good with people. So um I was thinkin uh maybe havin a little get together at the fields? But um don't right know what goes into get-togethers and such. Not much of a party person.

~~Thinkin of havin it the 11th maybe?~~ Depends if I can get some help with figurin out what I need...
Edit: Uh sometime in the next few weeks but not too soon so folks don't get burned out?

Well, I guess you'd need food and things for people to do? Being outside is way better then a stuffy ballroom or something like that- so you could probably manage some actual games or sports instead of people having to stand around and make awkward small talk.

Well food is a safe bet I reckon. Everyone likes food.

What bout spariin? Do folks like that? I like sparrin, but I'm not like most folks I hear.

I'D be interested in that- you'd probably want to have it a good ways away from the food though, in case someone goes flying and sends the appetizers everywhere.

Ya mean that's not supposed to happen? Sounds fun to me. I can see it now, folks scramblin to catch the...whatevers. Make a game of that?

I get what ya mean though. Probably should set up a spot for it. Least I aint the only one who likes it.

Huh, that's neat! I'm supposed to be Radegast, he's from some faraway place. He's over hospitality, war, fertility, crops, and sun...weird that I got a guy, though. But at least I got knowledge of some of the stuff.

What're you over?

Rice and political affairs, mostly. I suppose the second makes sense, since I was studying government to support my country.

I guess it's common sense to put people in roles they are capable of- even if we don't fit everything about the god.

Reckon so. Though uh the hospitality bit is hard for me. Not cause I don't like takin care of folks, just...ain't good with talking to people and stuff.

I don't want to go into too much detail on here, since there are shinki here from my world. But yes, I'm part of my country's royal family. I'm studying to help support the king with the more mundane day to day things and diplomacy.

And well, talking to people is something you can get better at, right?

Well I reckon so, just folks are a lil frightnin sometimes. I know some folks say I shouldn't think that with me bein in wars and such, but it ain't the same thing.

Oh gods, don't start that. Even if you WERE from my home I'm no one's prince here. We're both gods so we're equal- just Takumi is fine.

And no, I understand. I'm not great with social events either. Talking one on one with someone is fine but the moment it's a group or I'm expected to act a certain way all I want to do is escape.

Really? I'd think a prince would get used to that. But reckon even trainin can't quite knock the feelin out, huh? Sounds like me a lil bit. One of my friends back home even tried to help me out learnin to get better. Didn't do much but it's a start I guess.

Do ya feel a little trapped when it's a buncha people, too?

I'm the third child, so I was lucky. I could get away with making an appearance and leaving as soon as no one was looking. My older brother and sister are much more interesting, so it wasn't hard. I'd MUCH rather be out training then dealing with some stuffy nobles that probably never even stepped foot outside the wall.

But, my brother says, now that we're at peace, he needs my mind more then my bow arm. So I guess I have to get used to it.

And yes! Yes that's exactly it! Like everyone is watching me and expecting something from me. Penning me in.

It's good your kingdom's at peace, though. Been through two wars, and I remember how it weighed on Queen Elincia, even before she was crowned.

Being the eldest is rough sometimes. I'm one of six kids, and after my Pa died when I was younger, my Ma was sick, and I had to take over the farm. She got better but she had the other five of us to raise.

[Just..going to skim over that. Painful memories.]

I lost my birth mother to illness, though I was so young I don't really remember her. My father's second wife. Mikoto, was the only mother I really knew. I know it can't have been easy for her- not only raising her own child, but four more that weren't even really hers. She never treated us any differently though.

If you just count my blood siblings, four. With Mikoto's son Corrin I'm the fourth though. We also had Azura with us, though she was never officially part of the family. We grew up together though, so that would make six too.

[Ow, her heart. That sort of thing isn't something she'd wish on anyone.]

I'm sorry. That's what took my Pa, too. They both sound like good moms, though.

So how many of each are there? Ya mentioned there's six includin Azura, so 3 girls 3 boys or what?

That's right, and perfectly divided by gender- boy, girl, boy, girl. It's kinda funny how it worked out.

Ah got sisters, yeah. We're even split too, me and then Poppy and Betony, then the triplet boys, Rowan, Sage, and Reed.

[Holy moly that's a lot of plant names...which raises questions about her name possibly.]

The girls are in their teens, and the boys'll be turnin ten this year. They're all a real rowdy bunch but they're good kids. Even if I have to threaten to haul em off sometimes and hoist em up by their ankles.

[Not that she would ACTUALLY do the latter, but she would drag them off if she had to!]

Ryoma would be the same way when we were younger- I think it's an oldest sibling requirement.

It is.
One's helpin parent your younger siblins.
Two's threatenin to haul em off if they're bad.
Three's threatenin anyone who tries to court em.
Four's lovin them bunches even when they're being silly.
Five's protectin em, but that goes without sayin I'd reckon.

Though I guess I feel that way towards Sakura- though I don't know if it's the same for Ryoma and Hinoka.

What sorta drinks do folks like? I haven't really had much before, since the nicer stuff was more for rich folks back home.

Here's a hint. You said you're planning on the 11th. That's 6 days after the beach party. People are still gonna be worn out - so much they probably won't show up.

Try attending a party or two before you go planning one, I figure.

People seem to have the food covered. But having some games or activities to do would be a good idea as well. There's only so much small talk a person can handle before it gets boring.

Do ya have any suggestions on games? Me and Sir Takumi figured on a sparring space but I reckon not everyone's into that?

But yeah, there should be other things to do for people not interested in that. Maybe board games? Or something sporty like soccer. It can be as simple as bringing a ball for people to throw around.

Balls are good. But what're board games and soccer?

Well soccer is a sport. It involves kicking a ball into a goal. But you can only use your feet. You can't touch the ball with your hands.

Board games are a little harder to explain because there are many kinds. But they're games that have a board you can lay out, like on a table, and it comes with pieces you can move around.

Tea is good, but you need some variety! Maybe some juices, some carbonated drinks, and most important, booze.

Uh I'm not sure. Like back home from what I remember the stuff in Ohma folks'd bring stuff but I don't think folks here have a bunch of crops to share.

Food and music would be a good start, I'd think.

Music, definitely. Particularly things that's possible to dance to.
