Hello, everyone. I've been working on lists for study groups, and references for them as well as investigative notes, but I wanted to pose a different offer this time. Hence, why this post will have attachments in the form of photos rather than text this time.

[ Follow his trek, everyone, through the kitchen and under the free standing stairs, to one of his numerous tatami rooms that lead outside on the first floor. He's immediately greeted by a chorus of meows and chirps, any sort of noise a cat might make when pleased at a person, and that's where he comes to a stop. ]

I've been picking up stray cats, as well as cats from the shelter that were having a hard time finding families, and have been working on socializing them. All of them are in good health at the moment, have had all their vaccines and the like, and are fixed - except one, but more on her in a moment. You see, I've been hoping to find them permanent homes, either here or on the other Shore. Pretty much all of the ones I have are currently ready for that, so I was wondering if there was anyone that was maybe considering a cat for a companion.

Anyone that isn't homed is going to go up for adoption to the other Shore, but I figured you all could have first dibs.

If you just want to come and see them, you can do that, too. The aforementioned special cat is actually a new mother, so there are newborn kittens here now.

As mentioned, there are pictures attached. What these cats look like are up to dealer's choice, if they wanted to adopt one or coo over one in particular, and Souji literally has enough variety that any picture would do.

That's very sweet of you to do all of that, but I have to ask—how many cats do you have there?

[ She's a little afraid of the answer, to be quite honest. ]

There's a lot. [ He's at least sheepish saying that. ] Some of them couldn't be adopted out at the shelter because they could only be adopted in pairs, so they just sort of... accumulated.

They're free roaming for the most part though, so they wander the temple property and the rest of the Far Shore. Makes it easier to manage, since I don't always have all of them here at once, except for at breakfast.

[There are a lot of cats to look through, but in the end it's this one that catches his eye. Not a kitten, but not particularly old either...

It's probably rude to think of Shouto when he sees a cat like this, but he can't quite help the association. Though it looks a fair deal less composed than his friend- boyfriend.

[ To be honest, he's always really fond of getting those shots of the cats... they look so much less dignified and are infinitely cuter in goofier pictures. ]

That was by complete accident, to be honest. But I always knew I'd try to find them homes when I wound up getting more than a couple.

[That...is a lot of cats. But Shun's not exactly unused to that amount of cats by this point, and the realisation of that passes with little fanfare on his part.]

If you need somewhere to adopt them out of for the ones that go to the Near Shore, I could probably set something up with that oversized cat cafe while I'm there.

And I can think of at least a few people here I could ask about it in case they didn't see this post. [Case in point: Ren.]

That's actually a pretty good idea. The cat cafes do always seem to have a lot of luck in finding homes for cats, so I've never been to one that's had any cat for too long.

Just send them this way, if they don't.

I've actually got a lot of all black ones. Superstition makes it pretty hard for them to find homes sometimes. [ Souji wades into the cats to find some of them to show her. ]

[ Yona only very sporadically catches messages on the BBS, but she just so happened to be playing around with it this morning when this video pops up. Figuring out how to watch it has her expression lighting up at the sight of all the cats shown here looking for a home. Considering all her temple has is a herd of horses, she immediately thinks a cat or two might be nice to add here as well. Surely Shizuo won't mind much, right? ]

Ah... Izanagi-san, yes? I can offer a home to some, if you're still looking for a place for some of them?

[ Maybe that would help make her temple feel a little less... empty. ]

[ If Yona were to mention the horses, Souji would be happy to tell her that horses and cats tend to get along. After all, horses spook easily - a mouser prevents rodents from startling them and causing them to hurt themselves. ]

[Leo honestly did not intend to make his way to Izanagi's temple. He was just out for a walk because he was getting restless and you can't go over to your boyfriend's temple every day, Leo, that's bad.

[ Souji comes out not long after the cats do, because he wants to make sure that they're just playing rather than having a fight. When he sees that they're fine, he pauses when he notices who it is that's come by the temple, however unintentionally it might be.

That's a familiar face he hasn't spoken to in a while. ]

Ah, Prince Leo - sorry about that. [ About five more cats come out, diverging on the property. ]

Ah, yeah, I fed the strays in the neighborhood the scraps from all my meal prep. [ Souji peeks into a cat tree, frowns when he doesn't find what he's looking for - there is, admittedly, a cat in it, but it has fur. ] Uncle's allergic, though, so I couldn't actually keep any of them.

[ He picks up a box, and lets out another 'ah,' this time accomplished as he scoops up a cat, nestling it close to keep it warm (and unintentionally out of sight). ]

Awww, those are cute! Finally, some wholesome, classic Internet concern in this forum.

I could take one that won't get picked by others, the most unwanted one of the litter. The one with the personality that's harder to tame, or the one that's least attractive. I think those too deserve a chance for love or redemption.

[ Well, that's certainly an interesting description. Souji traverses through his cats until he gets to the next room, the one that doesn't lead outside, and takes a picture that he attaches to his response. ]

I wouldn't call any of them particularly unattractive, since they all have their charm points, but this one has one eye and a crooked paw from a break healing poorly, plus his flat face and snaggletooth.

By complete accident, but they've been nice to have around anyways. (o˘◡˘o)

There's a few! Most of them all get along with other cats, so it depends on the age range you'd like, I think. Younger ones would be able to keep up with the puppy and grow up with it, and the older ones would probably just be more tolerable in general.

I have a cat and a small dog. I wanted to adopt another cat but the original source is... quite prickly. I'd rather not go that route again.

Absolutely. I wouldn't want there to be any problems, between anyone. So if you'd like to bring your dog around at any point during the day, you're more than welcome to, I even have unused rooms right now that can be used for introduction purposes just in case.

None of them have mouser experience yet, at least that they've shown me with trophies, but I do have quite a few that are hunters for sure. I've had my fair share of bugs brought to me because the little guys were proud of themselves.
