[ When the video starts, it's on Souji specifically. He gives the camera a bit of a wave with the hand not holding his phone, his temple's open kitchen and dining area behind him. ]

Hello, everyone. I've been working on lists for study groups, and references for them as well as investigative notes, but I wanted to pose a different offer this time. Hence, why this post will have attachments in the form of photos rather than text this time.

[ Follow his trek, everyone, through the kitchen and under the free standing stairs, to one of his numerous tatami rooms that lead outside on the first floor. He's immediately greeted by a chorus of meows and chirps, any sort of noise a cat might make when pleased at a person, and that's where he comes to a stop. ]

I've been picking up stray cats, as well as cats from the shelter that were having a hard time finding families, and have been working on socializing them. All of them are in good health at the moment, have had all their vaccines and the like, and are fixed - except one, but more on her in a moment. You see, I've been hoping to find them permanent homes, either here or on the other Shore. Pretty much all of the ones I have are currently ready for that, so I was wondering if there was anyone that was maybe considering a cat for a companion.

Anyone that isn't homed is going to go up for adoption to the other Shore, but I figured you all could have first dibs.

If you just want to come and see them, you can do that, too. The aforementioned special cat is actually a new mother, so there are newborn kittens here now.

[ This is when he turns the phone around, camera focused on the cats around his feet. That's the end of the video!

As mentioned, there are pictures attached. What these cats look like are up to dealer's choice, if they wanted to adopt one or coo over one in particular, and Souji literally has enough variety that any picture would do.

[Leo honestly did not intend to make his way to Izanagi's temple. He was just out for a walk because he was getting restless and you can't go over to your boyfriend's temple every day, Leo, that's bad.

So a walk!

That suddenly has six cats racing out of it and chasing each other around his feet]

[ Souji comes out not long after the cats do, because he wants to make sure that they're just playing rather than having a fight. When he sees that they're fine, he pauses when he notices who it is that's come by the temple, however unintentionally it might be.

That's a familiar face he hasn't spoken to in a while. ]

Ah, Prince Leo - sorry about that. [ About five more cats come out, diverging on the property. ]

Ah--Souji, right? It's just Leo. Are these all yours?

That's right - it's been a while. [ Souji ducks down to grab one, scooping it up. ] These are just some of them, but yes.

Why the hell do you have so many cats?!

[Because seriously Sooj.]

I like them? The number was accidental, to be honest. I was adopting the unwanted or "undesirable" cats out of the shelter that wasn't a no-kill, some of which could only be adopted out in pairs because they were companions, and it got out of hand.

[ The cat in his arms chirps, draping over his shoulder. ] I'm actually looking to rehome most of them right now.

"Out of hand" is putting it mildly.

[One little cat, pure white with shockingly blue eyes, meows up at Leo.

He looks down.

His heart melts, and he bends down to pick her up]

I'm not even the god of cats, so it was my fondness and a dozen moments of weakness. But there were some that just couldn't be adopted, since they weren't socialized, so they were a little more... feral, I guess. They're still kind of shy, but they don't bolt anymore and are especially cuddly, since they're affection-starved.

[ Ah, Souji sees Leo's own moment of weakness. Good. ]

Quite a few, actually. Not enough to clear everybody out, but the rest I'll be taking back to the Near Shore.

Her? Nope, she's still unclaimed thus far. Unless you'd like to change that, of course.

...I know little about cat care, but sometimes, I am a weak man. I'd like her, yes.

You're welcome to take her, then. As for cat care... I can give you a list of what to get and what not to get, and if you have any questions, I can also answer them.

[ Souji always carries a little notepad with him, for occasions where he needs to make a list for himself or other people, so he pulls it out now and the pen in the spiral to begin writing. ]

Cats benefit from a mixed diet, especially if they're living primarily indoors, as they don't drink quite as often as, say, a dog would. So a balance of wet food and dry food - wet to keep them hydrated, and dry to help maintain their teeth. It's up to you if you want to include things like fish or poultry, as treats or in lieu of store bought wet food, since that varies from owner to owner.

[ He flips over the first page - filled with brands to not buy from, and marked as such - to turn it around and write on the back. ]

What about milk? I know that's something everyone says cats like, but they also say that mice like cheese and they really don't...

Good question, actually. Just like humans, their body's tolerance for milk decreases over time. So in the same way we'll sometimes get sick from dairy products, so will they - milk isn't actually something we're meant to continue drinking past our infant years, human or feline.

People get sick from dairy products? That's the first I've ever heard of it.

What about stimulation? Are they like dogs and need a lot or can they manage with less?

Yep - it's called lactose intolerance. It's a sort of minor allergy, I suppose.

They can manage pretty well with less, but you'll still want to engage them. Cats have a natural prey drive, so they like to hunt, but if there's no vermin or birds or anything for them to hunt, they'll go for toys. Just don't play with them with your hands directly, if you can help it, because they'll attack you any time they want attention if they associate your hands or feet with playthings.

And I assume a kitten as young as she is would get hurt if she tried to hunt anything bigger than small mouse. Feather toys and the like should be fine, right?

That'd be right. Feather toys on wands and things like catnip mice are perfect for a cat of her size, though.
