why do gods get blight when their shinki get blight? thats not fair
is there some way to stop that cause i wanna fight without hurting mrick

[The post switches to voice a moment after because Goten isn't that good at writing but he wanted to be sure to get two gods attention. Writing was better for that right?]

Kairi is really strong and doing her best for you and everyone else you know! Shes the best exemplar ever so she should be exemplar! I don't wanna be an exemplar if she isn't one too! The exemplar thing is dumb if the best shinki is the first shinki a god gets! That's cheating!

[There's a small pause as Goten remembers something]

Oh! Oh and Roxas, Aymeric! Neither of you can get mad at Kairi! Yeah! She really helped me out a lot with that prayer and I'd be ayakashi food without her!

[...this message is very confusing. What exactly is going on and why is Goten talking about blight and yelling about ranking when it came to shinki? Did he miss something? Obviously so because it has the lord commander confused. However, it does sound like he's still in the temple and Mandragora has been gone for a bit. Where the cat is, he'll find his shinki.

Sometimes having a big temple was a pain but Aymeric will be off to find him until he can hear the familiar meows and spot a mop of black hair.]

[The more polite question would be 'is aught amiss' but Aymeric could tell from the message that everything was not alright.]

[Goten is sitting off in one of the rooms. Since getting home he had scooped up Mandragora and headed off. The fluff ball of a cat does make him feel better with his meows but Goten jumps a bit when he heard Aymeric voice. And...suddenly he's sort of regretting that message. It was done without too much thought and more emotion then anything. He just wanted to help Kairi and keep her from getting in trouble.

Goten keeps his gaze down on Mandragora as he pets the cat. He gives a slow nod, keeping his eyes down and voice soft.]

Mmmhm. Kairi my friend and she helped me so I didn't want anyone mad at her.

Goten, Roxas knows Kairi is strong. But that doesn't mean he needs to have an exemplar, okay? It still means you and Kairi are strong! You guys did something big together, didn't you?

Not anymore. Kairi helped get the blight off.

[Goten deflates a bit at that, mainly because Sora isn't yelling like someone else.]

But what if it's important to her? I don't think it means he loves her more then his other shinki but its more like she's the leader or something, right? She knows a lot of stuff and she's strong. I don't wanna be an exemplar just for being the only shinki Aymeric has. Kairi is way stronger then me. That's not fair!

They talked to most of us about this when we arrived, I should think.

The gods native to this place don't have an innate concept of right and wrong the way humans do. They don't understand what it's like to live as a mortal. That's why their shinki need to be able to teach them right and wrong. Stinging and blight are the way that gods experience the feeling of being wrong, through their shinki, and learn to do better.

N-no! I just got blighted and I think it hurt him. I didn't know that what I did would hurt him. We took care of it super fast but..it still happened.
