This is Genos. Shinki to slavic god of hospitality, Radegast. If possible, I request assistance from those more experienced in workings of the Far Shore.
Today I've returned to my god's temple, with an uninvited guest.
{{file attached: video04-04-17-20.mp4}}
[ A short video attachment, shows Genos chin down, with his shirt rolled high up, almost to the collarbone. That's it if he even had visible collarbones. The hatch on his chest is open, and in the cavity, among all the machinery, right next to the glowing blue orb, lies a kitten. Fur disheveled, and it seems to have hurt leg, but aside from that it's a normal, albeit homeless, kitten. It wakes up, blinks owlishly to the camera, yawns, and goes back to sleep, snuggling comfortably. ]
Should I assume I've been interacting with a ghost-cat from the start? It could see me, and tried to make me pay attention to it. Which is unlikely other inhabitants of the Near Shore.
However if it's not a ghost, would the travel to the Far Shore hurt it? Is there any official protocol on giving a temporary shelter to such Near Shore creatures?

[Add is here to ask the important questions on everyone's minds.]

I guess two? Maybe tree. Depends on size of the cats.

Animals seem to be able to see us without any difficulty based on my experiments, [read: petting random cats until some asshole living person walks over and gets in his way] so it's likely just a normal cat. Transportation to the Far Shore doesn't seem to affect them negatively. There's a cat currently dwelling in Chang'e's temple as well.

One followed me and Ludger back, and she seems to be fine, so I don't think there's a problem.
no subject
Did you kept the cat that followed you?
no subject
[The one thing they seemed to agree on so far - a cat]
She seems to like it here well enough, she keeps making that rattling noise all the time.

Lily has gone back and forth between the near shore and far shore with me, and I haven't observed any adverse effects. You should be alright to take that one in. But if you don't mind my asking...are you a robot?
no subject
And I'm not a robot. I'm a cyborg. [ and oh boy, a TL;DR is incoming ] Albeit there isn't much organic parts left of me. Most of my body is entirely artificial. Even processes like breathing is helped by machinery. It is a mystery even to me, why I'm stuck in this form after dying. But maybe I was augmented early in my life, and as such grew to associate this form with "myself", more than the original flesh and blood body?
no subject
Not that he gave this context, woops]
Already looks fairly happy to have you around, if you ask me.
You're the first cyborg I've ever met, though I suppose a number of us must have some colorful backgrounds. Perhaps we're brought here in whatever condition we passed in. So you would be this way because it's the way you were at that time. It would explain how we bear the marks of our past lives, even if we don't recall the reason for our present states.

Maybe animals have an easier time noticing us than people.
no subject
Maybe there is some link between The Far Shore and them. Then those folk-tales of cats being more in tune with spirit world would actually be right.
