I haven't really tried very many of either, at least not that I remember. But the shaved ice you can buy at the summer festivals all over the place is nice. You can get more elaborate versions with condensed milk or anmitsu or something at some of the cafes, if you look around a little bit...

I tried taiyaki, and that was nice, too.

That's a hard question! I don't think I have a favorite as long as its really tasty. Pocky is really really good! Anything with chocolate or strawberries. I've seen stuff like that in stores and stuff. It's really easy to find!

I have not sampled many of the drinks here, but so far they do not stand up to the drinks of home. It's all too watery.

On Mt. Targon, you drink mead with a fork.

Sake, of course, is the best thing no matter what the season. A good Junmai Daiginjo is more to my taste. There's also shochu or umeshu but then, I've never been picky when it comes to my drink.

Does that mean I'll be expecting a bottle in exchange for this information?

Chocolate covered any fruit usually turns out pretty good. You should try strawberries.
