[Uh, well...he's got her there. And unlike her first shinki, Shuusei isn't a kid, so that insistence on not eating that much candy really comes down to having been reminded of said first shinki and getting careless with what she says, doesn't it? And that's her problem, not Shuusei's.]

But anyway, you're not planning on buying all that candy at once, are you?

It's hard enough to get money, so I'm trying to narrow it down to what's good and what's worth buying.

Sounds like a plan I guess. What've you been doing to get money?

Convincing people to pay me since I already did the work. I catch a food stand or someplace small when the guy or girl looks tired and tell them I'm their replacement for the day. When the boss comes around I tell them I work for them. Sometimes it actually works!

[Okay, not often. But enough to make it worth it.]

Actually doing the work sounds like a pain. Sure you don't want to get into anything more lucrative?

I don't know much of anything that pays well.

[It's not like she knows what it's like to be a shinki despite her own memory-losing (though not as drastic) issues, though, so maybe it comes down to not being able to think of it. Ah, well.]

If you're fine with what you're doing, I guess that's cool. That cooking skill coming in handy, huh?

[Also someone reminded him that stealing was a thing. It's probably something he should worry about, the whole not paying attention to stealing stuff, but it doesn't bother him that much and he just avoids it to keep other people happy for now.]

So far it's probably my best hobby. I'm still not good at this magic stuff and I'm not sure shooting people is actually all that effective.
