Sake's pretty much right up my alley. How about we'll split a bottle of something sometime in return for pointing me at a good brand?

Of course, the best tasting spirits are the ones shared. A good drink is only bolstered further by equally good company.

Ten To Chi would suit us nicely, I believe. Rather fitting, given the circumstances.

I agree. Though Ten To Chi seems a little too obvious, I like it. So now that we have the what and the who, let's figure out the where and when!

Any favorite places around this place?

Not in particular. Though I'm still learning the lay of the land, myself. Perhaps you've seen something I haven't.

There's some places around here to get a good view of all these fireworks that seem to keep going off. Might as well enjoy them, right?

True. It would be a waste if those fireworks went unappreciated. It's clear they've been making themselves rather apparent lately.

Have you been around long?

I've been here a little bit. Not nearly as long as others though.

How about you?

It's barely been a month since I've arrived, really. I'd say about a few weeks, give or take.

One of this batch's new arrivals, or so I've surmised.

There seems to be a lot of use for us. Are you a new god or a new shinki?

A shinki. To the god GuanYin. And you?

Shinki, to Surtr. If you need any advice on this life, I'm still figuring it out but could offer a pointer or two.

I suppose that makes the two of us. But I wouldn't think you would know who exactly is in charge of this entire operation, do you?

As far as I understand it? Amataretsu. I think that's the top. At least that's who everyone says is and blames when they need to blame someone above them.

If you're talking about Amaterasu, this would be the logical conclusion. She is, after all, the goddess of the sun and seen as the one god above those in the Japanese pantheon.

But I'm sure I'm not the only one who wonders how much she knows about what's going on here to begin with.

That's the one. She probably knows more than she's telling but it's not like it'll help our condition though, right?

You never know. For all we know, they're obscuring the truth for a reason. Everything does happen for a reason, after all, even if the reason isn't apparent.

Perhaps in time, we'll find out why we were brought here in the first place.

I thought it was to help new gods deal with ayakashi. I'm not sure why they were snagged to take up their roles but they sorta need us, right?
