Good day, everypony! I have a question for you all: when those ayakashi that looked like fireflies came out of the opening near the viewing, at one point there was a giant sword hovering above the scene.

Does anypony know what that was about?

Oh, definitely not. It was very real and hummed with a power I could feel even at a distance.

Weird. I guess it's got to be somebody's power, then. I mean, this is the Heavens! Somebody's got to have a sword-summoning power.

... Or I guess it could be a shinki. [That's a new thought. As a ladle, he's got to admit, the idea of a shinki who turns into a gigantic glowing sword that radiates power is kind of intimidating.]

It seems very unlikely that this would be either of those -- unless there are far more powerful abilities here than I have seen. I think it is more likely that somepony brought this power with them when they came to the Far Shore.

I'm sure there's a lot of powerful abilities here. It's the Heavens, right? Even if the new gods aren't as strong, there's the old ones!

Have you heard anything about it yet, though?

No clue. What could even use a sword that big...

I don't know much about swords. Ponykind used to prefer lances, after all. But a weapon that size, I do not even know if I could use my magic to wield it.

It did not seem like it was meant to be wielded, though.

Maybe. But hanging over everything like that... it almost seems like a threat.

Perhaps so, but I felt nothing inherently malicious about it, and indeed, it seemed to have much good potential within it. Of course, all power is dangerous no matter what it is, but this is not some black corruptive magic that can only be used for evil.

There was. A large and ominous one, flush with a great deal of power.

[Large...? Some weird...ness happened to him during that incident which makes trying to recall it somewhat dicey (and maybe even a little dangerous), but something like that would have been kind of obvious, wouldn't it?]

The firefly viewing -- where it turned out many of the fireflies were, in fact, ayakashi.

Yes, that is that one. Although I am certain it is quite unmistakable.

Well, running across new things I had never imagined before is no surprise here. But still, that was remarkable for so many reasons, don't you think?

Remarkable, yes. I wonder what triggered it.

I must think it was a deliberate choice on somepony's part. A manifestation like that -- well, it's impossible to think it just came about any other way, don't you think?

I have wondered too over the images. Spirits have light; we can see that plainly - and swords are tools for protection or battle.

I have heard of some gods and shinki gaining powers they did not previously have. It makes me wonder if Heaven is preparing us for something greater than what we have thus seen.

Interesting information -- it seems swords are to humans what lances are to ponies, although I should also add that we are far more separated from them than humans seem to be over time.

I can certainly attest to the gaining of powers, however. I myself gained a power to change my shape, which is not performed as ordinary spellwork and which I can assure you I never had before. But that sword was of such power and potency that I think it is on another level than the powers we receive in the Far Shore. In my mind, it must have been an ability possessed before they came here, whoever summoned it.

So you are an actual - (Heaven gets stranger and stranger!) Meaning your race is more peaceful? I think humans could learn a thing or two in that regard.

What other shapes can you take? (Sorry, she is drowning in curiosity.) I have a new power too; one that I did not possess in Westeros. Yet I do not speak of it: I speak of powers beyond what we are given when we initially arrive.

If it is a power someone already possesses, why have they not spoken up?

You must understand, ponies have been guided to peace and harmony for hundreds of years now. I think humans would be more peaceful if that were tru of them as well.

As for shapes, I seem to be able to assume the form of humans, many animals around my size, and other races of Equestria.

I do not know why nopony has spoken up yet, though.
