Good day, everypony! I have a question for you all: when those ayakashi that looked like fireflies came out of the opening near the viewing, at one point there was a giant sword hovering above the scene.

Does anypony know what that was about?

During the time I have been here. Perhaps something like it appeared before that I do not know about?

I have only been here since the fifteenth of this month, so I couldn't say for certain myself. However, what I do know is that the sword appeared after I had been called into vessel form.

'After' as in 'at a later time' -- or 'after' as in 'immediately coincident'?

The latter. As in, my shift into vessel form unleashed that power.

I see. Which also means you do not have any conscious memory of the nature of that power, or what it means, am I correct?

To an extent. That power is always at my disposal. I don't know exactly what it is, where it comes from, or why I have it. I've never seen a reason to use that much of it and think it's dangerous to amass that energy without a good reason to do so. However, it appears that transforming into a vessel automatically summons that energy, manifesting it into that giant sword floating over my head. It additionally grants my god access to my powers.

[That's quite a lot, and more than she expected. And yet.] But you do not know the original purpose of possessing such power, both in that quantity and with that particular resonance?

Yes, that is correct. Likely due to the nature of being a shinki.

Well, it is a very alarming amount of power, but I sensed nothing malicious about it. Quite the opposite, really.

Then, I much appreciate the reassurance. [Written for the sake of courtesy more than anything else.]

However, I request that you refrain from disclosing my identity to others. Since that time, I've been trying to fly under the radar.

Though, may I ask what you are considering doing in the future? Especially if this sword appears every time you assume vessel form, I cannot imagine I will be the only one with questions.

There are two gods here who recognize me from before my arrival here as a shinki. I informed my god of the situation with the hope he might obtain information from them and better understand how to harness my power in vessel form. Unfortunately, due to the potential risks involved, he's unlikely to report such information back to me. However, I can say with certainty that I will avoid unleashing this power myself.

Oh, that is excellent news. I am glad you have people here who might be of help, and that you can rely on your god in this circumstance. I do not know how much help I can be, but I am willing to offer myself as well.
