Why is the Internet like this?
I am highly disappointed in it.
Surely there is more to it than this.

Everyone can be much better than this.
Much, much better.
Honestly.

And whoever told my god about these cellphones, I would like a word.

My apologies for thinking the so-called modern era could be better than what it is.
I am certain people are happy wallowing in the low brow and dull humor.
But I expect better from people.
If that makes me edgy, oh well.
I will live.

i endeavor to make my jokes actually funny
for what its worth im pretty sure youre taking less shit than the last guy who did this
though thats probably because his was less old man disappointment and more old man shakes his stick at teenagers for being emotional
aka the most defining feature of a teenager other than the age

I do not mind teenagers being emotional.
That is part of being young, unfortunately.
What I mind is the mindset of "excessively emotional" and building on that culture to where outbursts and a lack of control is "acceptable."
Such is the way to create Blight from how I see it.
Because in some way, some form, people must think what they do on this Internet is wrong.
Yet not one will attempt to change it?
So yes. I find that disappointing.
Exceptionally so.

And we are in charge of the humans that follow us.
If we cannot monitor ourselves, how are we to help anyone?
I don't know what you just said and certain it means something to you, but my concern is how effective we can do things.
And so I am disappointed in us as a whole.
Here we do what?
Pretend we are humans and part of the world?
That will only lead to disaster.
I have no issue with people cutting loose and having fun.
But among ourselves rather than lying that we are part of the world.
You see my issue now, I hope.

That is how WE are supposed to roll, then.
I am not forgetting it.
Nothing we write here will be remembered by humans.
Which is better: clinging to a world that will forget you, or cutting ties and doing our duty for them?
It is better to cut ties than cling and pretend to still be human. Otherwise, one risks becoming overly emotional.

Clinging to what we no longer have is not sensible.
It'll become more upsetting when people realize that we're just not what we were.
