I have a question for the shinki among us.
How important to you is your connection to your god?
If you could go without a name, and not worry about your safety or a place to stay, would you prefer to?

If you think about it, though, most of us haven't chosen the gods we're with. We've been assigned to them in the first place.

If I were assigned, I would have been told where to go. Axel-sama came to find me himself. If they assigned us, then it seems logical to make sure that we don't run off, or at least know who to find to explain things to us.
I understand they run an inefficient system but there has to be limits.
Axel-sama found me. I'm meant to be his. If he disappeared without warning, I'd make another god help me find him again.

Maybe you're right to think that way in the end.

Perhaps think of it like this: "if my god died."

That sort of question doesn't deserve being discussed with a faceless person.

I'm not hiding my identity. I'm just interested in honest answers for a companion's sake.

So not for yourself?

I can't make a decision for someone else based on that, though.

He seemed attached to his previous god, but that's all I can say.
private
Maybe you should put him out of his misery then.
private
In any case, I doubt his former god would thank me for it if I did.
private
The former god is still here?
private
[So does it really matter what he thinks about it? If he's dead, or his soul is trapped somewhere...?
It still, Hakkai has to admit, matters to him.]
private
[Well. Blunt, at least.]
...Should I give a more indepth answer?

I may look after him myself until I find a god who has the space and temperament to take care of him properly.

The only ones who object to having a god are those who object to the idea of having anyone hold power over them, it seems.
And, of course, no one wants a god who would treat them badly.
private
Have many people here had gods that do so?

Heaven's laws don't seem to have anything to say about how a shinki should be treated, though. Not that I've heard, at least.
