Can Shinki get sick?
[ A seemingly simple question, but one that's been clawing at him for days. The symptoms have become too painful to ignore, so he bites his tongue and seeks answers because unknown to him, his bloodlust has begun to manifest. ]

How much does your god know about you?
I know the question seems strange, but
I don't think this is a normal sickness.
I'm guessing you already tried eating and drinking, right?
1/2
[ A quick response, laced in steel. He hadn't met with his god nor did he ever plan too. Whatever was happening, he'd figure it out on his own. ]

1/2
But you're a shinki, so you don't recall anything about your past.
It could be something related to that.
In fact, I'm almost certain of it.
2/2
I'm sure you have your reasons for not involving your god
But, would you mind
if I took a look at you?
I have a certain power that might be able to find out exactly what's wrong.
no subject
Blight.
According to the others, I have the symptoms.
no subject
If it was blight, I think your god
would have hunted you down by now.
I don't think it's blight.
no subject
Is that what you would do?
no subject
Because if something is wrong, and I was your god
I'd want to help you.
Well, I'm not your god but I still want to help.
So either way I'd do my best.
Which is why I want to take a look at you.
...If you're worried, it won't hurt.
no subject
What will you do?
no subject
It will allow me to read your physiology a little.
[ And potentially latent memories but that all depends on yoU! ]
no subject
Choose a location. I'll meet you there.
no subject
[ There are directions included. ]
no subject
I'm outside.
[ Zero has made it a point to avoid the temples of the gods and here and so, he doesn't step inside. ]
no subject
Welcome. I'm glad you made it. [ He pauses a few paces away from Zero, giving him a formal look over. ]
We've met before, but briefly. My name is Watanuki, if you don't remember.
no subject
I remember.
no subject
Like I said, it won't hurt. I just need to touch you for a moment so I can get a reading. [ And he held out his slender hands. ] May I please see your hand?

[ People did, so he had a feeling what he founnd would vary, but maybe if he focused... ]
[ 'Please let me see what's wrong, so I can help him.' He made a short prayer to himself, before reaching out with both hands, taking Zero's hand in both of his own. He let his thumb glide very gently over the top of the other's hand as he focused in. ]

Before him, a trail of old footprints steered toward a dark forest where no light passed through. Should he choose to follow where it lead, Watanuki would find a steel gun covered in blood marking the entrance of the forest. If he moves to touch the gun a memory will suddenly burst into full glory.
A heart beat rapidly in his chest. He was running, chasing after a figure in the dark. He ran headlong through the streets tracking the echo of insanity smeared across the wind and when he caught sight of the human figure he pulled out the gun. The shadowy figure laughed and he--you--pulled the trigger and a sharp cry filled the air as the bullet slammed through flesh and you smiled, an acrid smile filled with the same taint of the shadow.
The gun suddenly slips from the your hands the blood making it too slippery to hold onto and when it hits the ground the white snow turns red. ]
You shouldn't pick up things that don't belong to you.
[ A figure steps out the forest, looking like Zero but with longer hair. ]
What are you doing here?
1/2
[ He was running, fast, but there was more than just a shadow. A black smog filled the entire memory, and it cut through his sense along with the gunshot like a knife through butter. Not only was the blood slippery, but he dropped it in utter shock, his wet hand flying to his chest, panting hard. He was trying to catch his breath, white mist huffing and puffing into the cold night air. He stood quickly, stumbling to his feet. ]
Oh-- [ A worried huff, but then, he ward the voice, and... ]
2/2
... [ he wanted to call out to him, his name, but the world Zero died on his tongue. He swallowed it back down. ]
I... [ What did he say. ] I'm supposed to be here. [ And he shifted, standing in front of the gun. ]
Is this gun yours? It's covered in blood.
no subject
It's the way things are.
[ He lifts his gaze, looking back up at him, and suddenly he's raising a gun - the same gun! - and pointing it at him. ]
I don't like sharing.
no subject
That's why I came here. To help you. [ He swallowed, keeping his solid stance. It was just as if he was dreamwalking again. ] I'm... I'm more capable than I look.
That's how I am able to be here, where I shouldn't be. [ There's a pause. ]
Tell me what's wrong... Zero.
1/2
[ He shoots him.. ]
Nothing is.
