But I still haven't returned her book.
[It seems childish to focus on that, but she can't help it. She doesn't know Elsa or anything, but the whole situation and its implications leave her feeling strange.]

Please, keep it. I'm sure you'll take good care of it.

[This response takes place several hours later, sometime around the afternoon. Sheryl just returned from seeing an empty plot of land that was once Elsa's temple.]

I'm sorry. You were friends, weren't you?

You've got somewhere to go until you're reassigned, right?
[Not that their one and only meeting was tense at best, right...]

Will you be alright? Out of respect for Elsa, you and any of her shinki are welcome to stay with us for the time being. Our doors are always open to you.

It's possible that the teachers whose courses you were most interested in may continue at other venues. Kazuma, Bishamon's lead shinki, was our instructor for shinki magic, and our weapons instructor was Yamato no Kami Yasusada, Commander Shepard's shinki.

I may be able to take up a little tutoring, once I've had the chance to find the proper books again.

its too bad shes gone.
you didn't see anything or notice anything off? what happened to you when she disappeared . . . did you feel anything?
no subject
No. I didn't know anything had happened until the next morning, and I'm generally a light sleeper.

Please take care of yourself, and Yato, too. I'm sorry we didn't have the chance to have you by for dinner.

Elsa could've been killed in battle for all he knows. She could've just vanished into thin air, like Shepard. She could be in trouble somewhere, waiting for help. Yamato has no idea, but he assumes it was probably her fault.
(He hadn't given her much of a chance to redeem herself, after his opinion of her dropped. But, well... it's likely that wouldn't have helped much anyway.)]
I'm sorry your god is so reckless Hakkai-kun ["Is", not "was", whether she's dead or absent or anything else. It's all the same to him--they aren't gone completely. He won't ever believe that.] maybe when she comes back you can lock her up and keep her out of trouble
[Is it a joke? MAYBE... maybe not?! But it sure is Yamato trying to make him feel better. He and Yuuki had discussed ways to keep Tsuzuki out of trouble, and, well... they didn't have many good ideas, but. Hey, maybe Hakkai'll take him up on it.]
no subject
But I didn't have time to teach her to pick locks, so your idea might be a very good one, Yamato.
[Reckless. The recklessness is more his fault than hers, this time: he could have stopped her. She hadn't been in control of herself, but his anger had been strong enough that he hadn't noticed hers was too strong.
If the Heavens destroyed her for that, Hakkai may not be able to get her back, but he'll find out, and he will make them pay, he promises himself, silently.]
