[Yamato's been... busy. Regardless of how much or how little he knows about the entire situation, his focus has been elsewhere, namely on his new best friend and the agonizing absence of his goddess. He doesn't know if either of them noticed his absence from the school, but he hasn't actually stopped to think about it until now, too busy warring with-- well, first inner demons, then outer ones.

Elsa could've been killed in battle for all he knows. She could've just vanished into thin air, like Shepard. She could be in trouble somewhere, waiting for help. Yamato has no idea, but he assumes it was probably her fault.

(He hadn't given her much of a chance to redeem herself, after his opinion of her dropped. But, well... it's likely that wouldn't have helped much anyway.)]
