I've got a question! Since there's a lot of different gods, am I supposed to treat the ones from the religion my god is from like family? And does anyone else have animals like deer or anything else at their temples?

Oh, and does anyone know how to put a blessing on objects? My shinki can't come inside the temple, and I don't think he likes sleeping in a tent too much.

I wouldn't have thought that, myself. I mean, this system is built on us taking up roles, but that doesn't change our backgrounds. As far as animals go, I haven't noticed any.

I'm not sure about blessings, but maybe someone with more experience can help.

Really? I know Artemis, the goddess I'm supposed to be, has a twin brother. It might be weird to treat them like my brother, but what if the goddess part of me really wants me to treat them like a brother?

If you look at it another way, not all gods were exactly on friendly terms. So are we expected to keep up with the old fights?

A tent though? Really? You could at least do the decent thing and get him a dog house in the meantime.

No, but I wouldn't hold it against them if they wanted to keep the fight going. I know how to defend myself.

I was honestly contemplating making a post about this myself. Do you know how complicated the Greek Pantheon is? At least half of us would be siblings, because our dear, "beloved" father Zeus could not keep it in his pants.

Deer are considered sacred to Artemis, so I'm not surprised you have a few. She is quite frequently depicted along side them, more so than any other Greek deity and their sacred animals.

I don't even know half of who has what name. I know about Aphrodite, but I've never talked to her. She's my friends god. I know Sora would be excited about having a family member because of what god he is.

There's statues of deer and hunting dogs around my temple, too. I was thinking about going to the Near Shore to find a dog! Kuroko said he found Satan there.

She just appeared one day, so I'm hoping this isn't a pattern.

There's artwork of vultures all over my temple, but no live ones...yet. I wouldn't put it past this place. And just because you share a pantheon with another god doesn't mean they're family, or even close. Thinking they are is ridiculously naive.

[While he's being a bit abrasive, being new, he can't help but bite at the topic of blessings, though he's also not familiar enough with Artemis to realise what the problem is here.]

If your shinki can't enter your temple, how the hell would a blessing help?

I don't know what a vulture is, but you don't sound happy about them.

[Oh... Roxas just wanted to know if being Artemis means he's finally got a family... He's not going to reply to the family part now. Instead he feels really dumb at this moment for bringing this up despite other people answering him a lot less negatively.]

Axel says his goddess did a blessing ritual so he could come into her temple. I don't know any blessings so that's why I was asking.

well data-roxas told me once that those relationships have to do with those lives and not ours... but i don't see a reason why we can't get along with them. Have you met Leo? He's actually my dad, and we get along!

[Sora knows Leo's not his actual dad, seeing as he's only about five years older or so. But Sora enjoys the connection anyway. Plus treats Forrest like his brother too, in a sense.]

My temple doesn't seem to like guys much. I think it's because Artemis is a virgin goddess and likes women and children more.

First, give your new family a chance. Just because you don't share blood as you currently are doesn't mean you can't come to care for each other.

Second, I've observed birds, bats, and various insects at my temple, all pollinator species as far as I've been able to determine.

Third, I don't know any blessings myself, but Asato Tsuzuki uses ofuda magic, so you might ask him as a starting point.

I think birds are pretty normal everywhere. Are you talking about hummingbirds?

I do!! There are elks and wood grouses all around my magnificent palace.
And one of the elks told me there were bears around here too.

Does it keep anyone else out? Men, women, gods, shinki, etc.?

Just men. Except Sora because of his power, and other guys who are 'goddesses'.

That's a good question. I haven't even thought to look into whether there are other gods here representing the same religion as the one I'm here to replace.

As for the answer, though, I feel like that's up to you. Although I do know of at least one example of two gods here who have decided to act as family for the time being.

It's really interesting! You should look at the library. They've got a ton of books on gods and religions.

Genos has a pretty good book on Greek gods that Pippa and I got some ideas out of.
