From: Artemis
I've got a question! Since there's a lot of different gods, am I supposed to treat the ones from the religion my god is from like family? And does anyone else have animals like deer or anything else at their temples?
Oh, and does anyone know how to put a blessing on objects? My shinki can't come inside the temple, and I don't think he likes sleeping in a tent too much.

Just don't fall!

It'll be okay, you don't need to worry.
no subject
Can you heal yourself if you do?
no subject
[It's not like he's in a position to say that sounds too fantastical to be true, considering...they're apparently gods now.
Still, it really does sound like it comes from a storybook]
I heal up pretty quick, but I'll be careful.
no subject
Okay! I guess you can scream if you need help.
no subject
A good five minutes later, he finally replies]
I think I see them... So you're probably not that far away from me. My temple is just a ways west of yours.
no subject
[Decided to see if he could do it, too.]
no subject
Let me try coming over there, just to be sure...
[He'll just pop right up at the gate, jolt as little because he's far from accustomed to this ability, and look around.
There's definitely statues, over here]
no subject
He looks up at the young man at the gate.]
They're pretty scary, right?
no subject
[Kaneki tips his head back to get a good look at them, and...they're certainly looming. He hasn't seen something quite like them outside of books, but from that he recognizes the style.
Based on which god the guy said he was, they seem appropriate.
Bringing his attention back to present company, he lifts a hand to wave]
It looks like we're neighbors after all.
no subject
[But what would happen if they got in while he wasn't? Roxas will get back to that question later. For now he's got a guest!
He gives his new neighbor a smile.]
That's great. I'm Roxas!
no subject
[Guard-statues... Kaneki never would've imagined. Then again, there's so much of this that he wouldn't imagine]
Kaneki Ken, pleased to meet you.
[Punctuated with a small bow and everything. Culture never dies, right? Certainly not within a few days of showing up here]
no subject
[Roxas is happy about the guard-statues. After having no way of really keeping himself and others safe most of the time in Koriko, this was at least one guaranteed way of keeping himself alive.
When Kaneki bows, so does Roxas. Habit.]
L-Likewise! Uhm... [.... what do you do with guests? Offer them something? How to host.] Do you... want some tea?
no subject
He's still not the best at pretending to stomach things that taste like death to him. Not to mention the urge to describe how horrible the experience in florid detail remains strong]
Oh, I- thank you, but I don't need anything. Actually, I was meaning to say...
[Here he flounders a little, unsure if it's a silly idea, before he continues]
Since I'm close by... if you and your shinki want to use my temple too, while you're sorting things out, you could.
[It's the neighborly thing to do, right?]
no subject
He nods before perking up.]
Really? Raichi would like that a lot. I don't know where he ran off to... but I can tell him when he gets home. I'll bring him food since he eats a lot.
no subject
He's going to need to carefully store that so there aren't any unfortunate meal mishaps. Maybe he'll keep a fridge in his room]
Alright. I have plenty of space, since it's just Hana and me.
no subject
Hana? Is that your shinki? What are they like?
no subject
[Kaneki doesn't want to speak poorly of her, and the hesitance is very apparent, but...she feels like a side-character in an anime. Always serene and demure and very little else.
He sure tried to engage her in conversation but it didn't get very far. If only he knew this was a soulless shinki thing and not some personal issue]
no subject
[Roxas doesn't care too much to know, either.]
no subject
[There's no masking the look of concern on his face]
no subject
[It was rough when he tried to do anything with his shinki and it just stood there and stared.]
no subject
[He feels so bad for his poor shinki]
no subject
[It was like having a Dusk around. Except useless.]
no subject
[It's puzzling, if not even more concerning]
I think I'd feel wrong, treating her that way.
no subject
It. Looked like a guy, but didn't? It was just something that I could stand in a corner and ignore until I needed it.
[Is Kaneki upset?]
You can treat Hana any way you want to.
