[Yuri almost never shows her face on the network, literally or in text. She prefers to lurk and read, but she knows this is the fastest and most effective way to reach a lot of people.]

Has anyone-- [She begins, and then stops, gaze lowering a moment. It's a question she shouldn't have to ask. She knows he's gone, can feel it, but maybe he's not gone entirely. Maybe they just moved him to a new god, again. Maybe there's still hope.

So she takes a breath, sighs, and tries again.] Has anyone seen Hakkai? His phone's disconnected. And... I can't feel him anymore... But I thought, maybe, he'd just gone to another god, or... [She makes a helpless gesture and shrugs, shaking her head. 'I don't know,' she seems to be saying.]

If not then I'm afraid he's probably-- Gone. Entirely. [And damn if that doesn't absolutely gut her to say. She's always been good at masking her emotions, but she closes her eyes here and takes a breath, giving herself away entirely to just how badly it effects her.]

[She's quit for a moment, thinking.] Since at least last night or this morning, I think. I didn't think anything of it when I didn't see him last night, but now...

[Now she's thinking it must've been somewhere around there.] I thought maybe he'd just be out late, and that he'd woken up early to head to the school or something. But I guess not.

I thought maybe they'd taken him from me entirely to hand him off to someone worse. It seems like something they'd do.

Usually it's his gods that get taken away, but this time... [She trails off, resting her elbow on the table and her head briefly in her hand.] Things were going so well...

If he's in a position to be aware of it, he'll probably be feeling quite smug they finally went for him instead. [Hakkai was working on being a Good Shinki but bad egos are hard to break.] Are you all right, Yuri?

[Kaede's face shows concern, hoping that maybe the goddess is mistaken. She is new so it is a possibility isn't it? Perhaps if everyone was now looking for him he would be found. She doubts it as Hakkai isn't the first shinki to disappear but hasn't he been in this world for awhile?]

I don't feel his presence at all. I even-- I even tried to locate him with my... my kagemi abilities, but the trail just goes cold. I just thought... [Maybe, somehow, she was wrong. Somehow he was still around.

Are you alright, Kaede asks and Yuri wants to laugh, but doesn't.] I just don't understand.

[Yoon's not very close to him, but he does spend a lot of time at the school and Hakkai was one of the first shinki to give him the lay of the land.]

[ Though he's not that close to Hakkai, either, Miyuki's been going to the school a lot to clear out space for the practice field. He's used to seeing him around, even in passing.

He's also taking note of the rest of the public replies. ]

I didn't see him earlier when I went by the school, so I thought he was just somewhere else for the afternoon. But if he's gone missing, and it isn't the first time someone associated with him has gone missing, that's more than a little suspect.

Well, he could be a bit of a thorn in Heaven's side sometimes... [To put it lightly. She sighs and shakes her head] But to go this far? If he's just been given to another god, then it means I was at fault, somehow, and I could deal with that a lot easier.

He hasn't done anything worth this. [You know, as far as she knows, anyhow.]

I was wondering why he wasn't at school today...

I'd like to say that he's just gone off somewhere alone for a bit- I could understand that.
But I read the other replies here, and it sounds like he's gone, in that way that new gods and shinki do sometimes.

I'm sorry, Ixtab-sama. This is damn frustrating, especially because of what he- you- we all went through the other day.

No, don't worry. The Ablution went perfectly. Hakkai was doing a lot better--I hadn't gotten stung once since then. [Granted it's only been a couple days, really, but still.] If the Heavens are behind this I would've hoped they'd take that into account, but... Maybe not...

His phone's out of service now, and I really can't feel him anywhere... Usually a god can pinpoint their shini's location if they concentrate hard enough, but...

[But nothing from Hakkai so far.] Anyway, I want to keep hopeful for a little while longer. Maybe there's something else happening.
