Why is the Internet like this?
I am highly disappointed in it.
Surely there is more to it than this.

Everyone can be much better than this.
Much, much better.
Honestly.

And whoever told my god about these cellphones, I would like a word.

Better for me. I'm doing a lot of running around these days, back and forth between a shrine and my temple.

Because...? No one else is gonna take care of a shrine full of soulless shinki who aren't bound to a god, are they?

Soulless shinki. I've heard something like that... what is that about?

I'm not really sure myself - just that they're a lot more reserved than a shinki like yourself. They don't use the BBS and they don't really have ambitions that they're willing to voice, but they still come when I call for them and serve me to answer prayers. I just try to make sure I treat them as well as I can.

The shrine is apparently where soulless shinki that have been released by their gods stay.

In other words, they're half-formed creations of this world, is that not right? I wonder if it would not be better to purify the lot of them.

Half-formed... No! You're thinking of ayakashi. That's what we're supposed to purify.

Indeed, we are supposed to purify such bothersome creatures.

However, I wonder if releasing them from this world would be better than having them stay. I am thinking of what is for the greater good. Keeping the soulless around does not seem like it benefits anyone but those that may use them.

No one is going to benefit from killing them off either! Not even them.

Because a god without a shinki is pretty damn useless for helping out our followers. You gotta fight ayakashi and without a shinki you can't do that. When I first got here, all I had was a Soulless shinki, and I treated him with respect because of it.

In other words, it benefits you. They do not have feelings, right? You can respect your blade as much as you like, but it doesn't make it alive. They sound live half-life creatures and keeping them is an affront.

I am a new shinki and perhaps, that is out of line for me to say, but I still feel they should be dealt with rather than kept around as pets.
