Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Nyanta and yes, I'm not exactly human, nya. I meant to ask everyone sooner but it seems something pops up right when I'm about to post.

I was actually considering doing cooking classes to anyone who would like to learn. I always felt that being able to cook to be something everyone should at least experience. Though I'm still in the process of developing these workshops, I thought it was best if I did an interest check first, nya.

I expect there might be a high demand so group classes based on experience will most likely happen. I shall keep everyone posted once all plans are finalized.

[Well, that's definitely a guy. After a minute of considering whether to bother, Davesprite bites the bullet and answers with video himself - the image that appears in answer being that of a luridly orange, winged and feathered teenager in shades.]

Okay, yeah, fuck it, I have no goddamn clue how to cook and it kind of feels like freeloading if I just let the rest of my temple do it for me. Pretty sure I can't guarantee feathers not somehow finding their way into whatever I try to make, though.

[Ah, so there are other non-humans like Ammy and himself here. It's nice to know that since everyone's so fixated on this Werecat's looks.]

[Davesprite has had incredibly garbage luck meeting nonhumans up to now, and then somehow he manages to discover a mermaid and werecat within three days of each other. Go figure.]

Nice. I'm pretty sure I need the full course of lessons, from the couple of times I've ended up in the kitchen in this place it looks like I can barely identify a pot before trying to stand it the right way up.

Someone should invent a hairnet for feathers, I probably need it more than most humans need the hairnet.

[Well first of all the cat guy really doesn't strike Sora as odd at all. Not when he has best friends that are a dog and a duck. What he does get from this is cooking classes how proud would Roxas and Yurick be if he managed something on his own?!]

I'd be interested! Umm... I'm not great with cooking at all. So, if you're willing to take someone in who can burn water trying to boil it, I'm in!

Burning water as a result of trying to boil it? Still, Sora should be lucky that Nyanta believes in people getting a chance first. At least he'll have Julian to deal with possible chef injuries but maybe he should ask for a fire extinguisher before classes start.]

I've never heard of someone burning water, but I'll take on the challenge, nya. What's your name so I can put down on the list?

So does this mean you're really super good at cooking? Are you a god of cooking?

No, I'm actually Julian, Asclepius's, shinki. It seems I have quite the knack for cooking so I thought I should share it beyond just feeding others at beach parties.

[Whoops! Sora feels a little embarrassed but he grins anyway.]

Oh! Well it's still nice to meet you too, Nyanta! And I guess you don't actually have to be a god god to be a god at cooking, right? Maybe you're just that good at it!

I know the basic matters of cooking but I would be interested in learning more techniques.

[He now has a child shinki to take care of after all and wants to do good by him. That and the weird take out food is...weird.]

[Ah fast food. It definitely has its pros and cons but nothing something a child should eat all the time.]

Excellent! There's plenty of dishes that'll help in teaching. You won't be disappointed. Are there also any dishes you'd like to learn as well?

[Yep, he wants to do good for his young partner. He can be such a dad at times honestly. And yes, he does recall this werecat speaking to him when Mandragora first arrived and during the beach celebration.]

Nay, I have no particular preference. I need not to learn how to make a fancy dish but ensure that they are filling and good for the spirit.

[Translation: he wants to learn to make good old fashioned homestyle cooking. The kind that stick to your ribs because he knows as a soldier, it was more important to ensure a fully belly in order to do one's duty.]

Why, that's not a problem at all. I know many recipies that would fit that bill, nya. You won't be disappointed.

[You'd think that, with two people helping him cook already, Chikusa wouldn't be interested in this, but you'd be wrong.]

What kind of recipes do you know....?

[That's the important thing here.]

[He scratches his chin in thought.]

Well, I can't give a specific number but quite a lot, nya. I've done things from Japanese curry to even baking fruit tarts. I'll be sure select recipes where it'll be easy to substitute ingredients to whatever suits your tastes.

Did you have anything specific in mind you'd like to try?

I’m already learning about traditional Japanese food, and vegetarian curry… So something besides that…

I see, nya. That won't be a problem at all. It's good you're learning in the meantime though.

I’m the shinki of a hearth god. It’s necessary....

It's nice of you to offer to teach people. I know some cooking it seems, though I'm not sure how much yet. Either way I'm always interested in learning more.

Not really, I'm interested in learning all kinds of cooking.

Are you a cat?

I'm actually a Werecat, nya. It just so happens I have a feline appeared even though I do have opposable thumbs and can stand on two legs.

Doesn't a werecat imply that you were human once, or are you just this way?

I'm afraid I can't really answer that with confidence. Werecat just happens to be the name of the species I am.

[Damn you Shinki rules. Poor guy doesn't even know he was human but then shenanigans happened before being brought here.]

All I know is that this is my body and I have no qualms about it. Though it certainly turns heads no matter which Shore I'm on.

The cat look is much better than being a human.

[That, at least was Hibari's conclusion about the whole thing. Being a cat was obviously much better, even though the kid would rather die than admit his ears were very cute.]

I didn't know there was anyone else here who wasn't human.

[This, of course, is of far more relevance to Dust than the whole cooking thing.]

... I'm doing this right, I hope? [Phones still are weird and new to him, though the instructions he's been given have helped.]

It surely is nice to find another non-human here. So far I've only encountered two others like us.

That's two more than I've seen. Or than most people have seen, as near as I can tell. Did you even... know what humans are before you came here? As near as you can tell. [The whole 'memory' thing complicates it, after all, but Dust is certain that if he'd known humans before, he would have known what to call them.]

Hm yes, I believe I've seen humans from where I was before coming here, nya. There may have been other species too but I'm afraid that's as far as my memory takes me.

[Sadly, Nyanta is completely unaware that he was originally a human but maybe it's for the best for now.]

Right. Memory. [Dust exhales a quiet and frustrated breath.] I didn't know what humans were even called before they told me, so I'm guessing I didn't know them. Strange to think how we could all be from such different places...

[Forrest doesn't seem terribly surprised by Nyanta's appearance. There are kitsune and werewolves in his world, after all.]

It's nice to meet you, Nyanta. My name is Forrest. I'd definitely be interested in your classes. I do know how to make a handful of dishes from my home, but it's never a bad thing to broaden one's culinary horizons.

I'd be happy to trade recipes with you sometime. I don't really know anything terribly fancy, but there might be something you haven't tried.

I can cook but I'm no expert chef or anything. If you got something new or interesting to show I'd love to learn though!

[ Nanako's glad this one was a video since she often has trouble with the text messages still, but the offer from Nyanta catches her attention and has her fidgeting with buttons to reply, her smile excited. ]

[He makes a note to start looking into kitchen gear more suited for his younger pupils.

Really? Yay! I like learning new things to make! But some recipes are too hard.

I wish you all the best, Nyanta! I was just telling a friend about the possibility of a cooking club, so maybe he'll join.

You sure seem to have a lot of interest. I don't think you can possibly teach all of these people at once.

You have a good point, nya. I had thought breaking it down into groups would help but it really does appear I might not be able to handle all the teaching myself.

I take it you're interested in helping?

I might be able to spare some time for it. I happen to be a better cook than some people around here. They asked me to cook at the beach party.
