Quick question. What does everyone consider picnic foods?

It doesn't have to be fancy, or even cooked, just something you yourself would bring to an occasion like that.

Also, no alcohol. This isn't for a romantic occasion. Though food cooked with alcohol is a-okay.

That would be nice too but doesn't offer a lot of variety. Particularly not if you're having guests.

When it's just me I don't really care, but I know my shinki likes variety. And anyone else I decide to invite.

So what sort of picnic are you having, if it isn't a romantic one?

It's supposed to be coming up on monsoon season, right? I've never been caught in a typhoon before, so kinda of wanted to do something along the line of watching it.

While everyone hunkers inside, I'd rather be outside.

Are those things really such a novelty? It's sort of dangerous, most of all. You can still watch it from indoors.

The areas of the world I have lived in were rarely hit by things like this while I lived there. The worst I know are the wind and ice storms of Washington state that could knock power out for days and weeks depending on the area you lived in. Flooding was rare unless you lived on a flood plain. So to me this is a novelty.

I'm the god of storms himself. Something like that wouldn't sweep me away.

I've made something similar in a desert to see how long I could hold up an igloo in high heat.

That's rather boring.

You can't get sick from the cold. All it does it lower your immune system, and someone has to be sick around you for you to get a cold from being wet.

So what's the harm in a little rain?

Fun is great but sometimes boring is pretty good. Otherwise fun wouldn't be as fun.

Except it's not a LITTLE rain.

I don't like boring. I don't like the thoughts that come with boring.

To me it is. I lived in one of the rainiest places in the world before this place.
