Here’s a question for you all: what do you think about death?

Considering the recent murders, I’d say it’s something to think about, isn’t it?

It truly brings in the question of whether or not death plays a relevant role here. People seem to be able to come back to life, but seems to go from god to shinki or even shinki to god. Regardless of the reason for the change in reversal, it seems that one element in particular remains missing: memories.

I’m curious as to why memories seem to be the important element in deciding between a god and a shinki aside from the obvious.

So, here’s another question: how many of you were previously shinki who became a god? If you don’t remember your time as a shinki, would you want those memories back?

Why would you believe something someone says on the internet?

I have no interest in death itself. I'm interested in memory loss that accompanies death.

There are those who will argue that we're alive in every sense of the word.

I might have. Have you?

Those people are fools. For one thing, we don't reproduce.

Health issues can be implemented into that. There are several other ways of reproduction.

If you are referring to the practice of pulling beings from other worlds to serve as gods here, that is not procreation. That is merely replacement.

How would handle replacement then? Better yet, what would you do if you were a shinki and another shinki has been placed under your god's care? What would you do?

I would kill that shinki and eat them to gain their power.

Not sure cannibalism would give the means of gaining that shinki's power. Believing that eating the flesh and organs of others to grant powers has always been more of a folktale than reality.

Magical beings that grant wishes are found in folktales too. Where did you think shinki got their powers from?

By being annoying parasites that feeds on Heaven.

I'm beginning to suspect you're the murderer.

Nice assumption, but I would hardly leave my kills in such a tasteless state. After all, the murderer doesn't seem to know a good way of actually performing his or her kills.

Hardly.

Maybe this is what the murderer really wants, for us to all be suspicious of one another.

Or maybe they're trying to bide time before they pick out their next victim.
