it's like a quarter life crisis

Why are so many of you so young? I'm not the only one at a more mature age, am I? Is anyone over 20? I'm getting wrinkles just thinking about this.

6:30pm. That should leave me enough time to prepare for bed after you leave.

Don't look down on bedtimes.

I'm not a child. I'm on the cusp of adulthood.

Don't patronize me.

Don't flatter yourself. I have my own ways to tire myself out for that very reason.

[Although they haven't really been working lately.]

No. Contrary to popular thought, the adrenaline caused by exercise stimulates more than exhausts. It's more effective in staying awake.

Depending on the situation, my common methods are:

1. Submerging my face in cold water
2. Listening to traditional music or chants
3. Acupuncture techniques to release points of tension

Sometimes I use lavender as well, although burning incense is more of a danger than a help. It's an easy way to start fires so I try to stay away from it.

I'd never be so reckless. The submersion only lasts thirty seconds. I set a timer. It triggers a reaction which lowers your heart rate and blood pressure.

I'm guessing the second is acupuncture? I suppose that would be alarming. Sorry, I think I phrased it wrong. Acupressure is what I should have said. It diverged from acupuncture so I must have mixed up the words. It's a fatal flaw.

Anyway, it's just massaging pressure points on the body. For sleeping I either massage my ears or press between my eyes. You should try it sometime. There are two others with feet.

Just the full thing. The base where the ear meets the head works best for me. That one's simple enough that you should be able to do it on your own.

If you really wanted to, I guess you could have someone touch your ears.

No, I touch my glasses because these are my spares. I need to get them properly adjusted.

It's around where the glasses sit, though. You know the space between your eyes where the bridge of the nose goes flat? It's there.

If you're really that interested in it I can show you some simple massage techniques before the movie. You'd have to come earlier though. I have to keep to my regimen.

I don't see how the two correlate.

Explain.

Don't make me call your god.

Or, better yet, your friend with the big hand. I'm sure he'd be excellent at ear massages.

There will be plenty of reason if you keep silent.
