My new shinki woke up grumpy this morning. He may also be planning on sneaking in where he shouldn't be. I'm both apologizing in advance, and sharing an image of his current appearance just in case:



He likes dried fish, large pillows, and ear scratches. Be wary of touching his tail or his belly, and especially do not offend him by claiming that he is an inferior creature. I will not be held responsible for the damages he will cause.

I suppose that can be true. I don't think that this is the case.

Figured it was at least worth mentioning. Yeah. I've experienced a lot of extraordinary stuff since I was a kid. It really redefines what you see as different. You have your preconceptions, sure, but it's not such a big deal when you get down to it. People would understand each other a lot better if they looked at it that way.

No it isn't to a point. Unfortunately it is human nature to look at something different and try to destroy it if they cannot control it. Animals are way more inclined to either know if they can eat it, mate with it or run away.

Yeah. I know that sort of thing about humanity first hand, unfortunately.

But in the end, I think they're worth fighting for. Believing in.

They are capable of the greatest kindness as well as cruelty. I sometimes hope that they will grow to be even more kind.

That's the real tragedy isn't i? Sometimes kindness and cruelty are hard to tell apart. [Chris has particular experience with that.]

I taught Biology and Chinese Lit at a university before I woke up here. I suppose the habit carried over.

Huh. Impressive. I get good marks in school but I'm nowhere near that smart. Did they make you a God of knowledge or something?

Is it? I'm just been good with learning things and was handed the early morning Lit class due to my availability.

I think no one else wanted it since it was for freshmen and at eight in the morning.

And as for the type of god, no, Xuanwu is more of a dark magic and warrior type.

Oh... well if it's for freshman I guess that makes sense... Xuanwu? Like... the black tortoise? Genbu???

I believe so. The title does come with a tortoise and snake motif throughout the temple and gardens with those animals living in them. Da Qing is currently teaching them manners and has declared that the tortoises are his noble steeds.

... Ya gotta put that shit on the network. A cat doing something like that demands it. It's like a law or something.

When he finally rides one, I am sure to let the rest of the network know about it. Right now he is just yelling at the water where they are lazing about.

No offense but that makes it sound like his normal form is DEFINITELY a cat.

None taken. According to him, being a cat is superior to being human.

Yeah, that's the attitude of pretty much every cat in the world.

I never really had pets before, so I don't really know if it's a normal cat thing or just because of it being Da Qing.
