[Suddenly this image appears on your network feed. It's a cry for help. ]

I seem to have a pawblem. A friend of mine is missing. 
His name is Spots and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Like the poster says, please assist if you can.  The sooner we find him the better. 

He gets temperamental when he's hungry :( 

Of course, I'll hand out a purrfect reward to the person who contributes the most.

I love Spots. I'll need to prove my affection.

[ Ren's starting to run out of options. He eventually figures that he's got nothing to lose by trying it out.

In Minako's messages she'll find one photo of Ren standing there with Spots. It's just a glorified selfie wow. ]

We'll find him together. Come meet me at Central District later in the afternoon.

[reloves]

Alright!! I'll be there!

[ It's only after sending that much that she opens the photo. And that's when it hits her. Oh no. Lost cat owner guy is cute. Cute in that kind of nerdy way, but cute all the same.

Which means she's definitely relieved they didn't say they'd meet up right then, since she's going to have to pick an appropriate cute outfit to meet said cute guy in. And one which won't make her freeze up in this weather. Does that mean she's going to wear the cat ear beanie to suit the occasion? Of course.

And when she heads to the Central District later on, Minako just dashes over to Ren the moment she notices him. Incredibly high-spirited, this one. ]

Here I am! Cat finder extraordinaire Minako reporting for duty!

[ Ren's even more of a nerd in person. He straightens himself up and adjusts the ends of his glasses. Oh.

Minako's wearing a cat ear beanie suit. It leaves him at a loss of words for a moment. He didn't expect this.]

Meow?

[ That type of response is the only thing you'd hear from a sad cat owner. This is the guy alright. Minako's at the right place.]

Nice to meeowt you.

[reloves]

Oh!

[ She seems pretty surprised. Maybe even with a hint of amazement at that bold pun. His look sure seems to match his personality so far - but Minako is pretty ridiculous herself, so that doesn't deter her in the slightest. ]

Nyaice to meeowt you too!

[ Somehow managing to pull off a bilangual pun in one sentence.. She won't let herself be one-upped here! ]

You seem like the perfect cat person..! I can't believe poor Spots won't come back to someone like that right away..

[ Those cat puns gets Ren to chuckle. He's trying his best to not laugh so hard. It's not working. So he clears his throat before speaking again.]

Yeah, he seemed fine a few days ago. I wonder if he's alright.

[ He checks behind some bushes for any sign of cats. There's a small pile of cat dung on the sidewalk. Score. ]

We're getting warmer.

[reloves]

[ Minako makes a bit of a Face at the sight of the cat poop. She might like cats a lot, but that doesn't mean she has to accept every single bit of them. Like this smelly little bit right over there.

Thankfully she quickly gets over it. ]

Hmm.. If you were a cat and you were hiding out somewhere around here, where would you be?

[ It's only understandable that Minako's making that face. Cat dung isn't plesant! Ren isn't minding it all that much. He'll just carry on and keep searching somehow. ]

Some place high?

[ Cats like to climb right? Maybe he should check ontop of the trash can or behind the tree. Oh gross there's more poop in the corner. ]

[reloves]

[ IGNORE THE POOP, REN.

She does seem to like that suggestion though, nodding to herself after considering it. ]

You're right.. Cats do often climb in trees, right? Then I have the perfect solution! [ She looks a little bit too happy about this, especially considering said suggestion-- ] Why don't you climb in a tree and see if you can spot Spots from up there?

[ Minako is so proud of both her idea and that pun. She's beaming. ]

[ THAT PUN....Minako gets Ren to grin because he finds it funny. Also, because he's a terrible person with a poor sense of humor in general. ]

I'll be right back.

[ So he starts climbing up a large tree. He's careful not to lose his footing while he's climbing up there. A few leaves rustle out of the branch while he's doing that. ]

See anything from down there?

[reloves]

[ Minako wasn't too sure if he would actually listen to her suggestion - but he does, surprisingly! Either she's just that powerful or boys in this place just lack spines, since they seem to follow her suggestions a little too easily.. Which means she looks kind of proud of herself as she looks up at him in that tree. ]

Nope, nope! You're our lookout now-- make sure to report to ground control if you can see any cats at all!

Okay.

[ It's more like Ren didn't have much of a reason to disagree with her suggestion. He's the type to just roll with things as the go along. ]

Nya, cat spotted.

[ Could it be spots??? With that Ren starts making more cat noises like he's a beeping cat detector. BEEP BEEP BEEP. ]

[reloves]

[ This guy is quite possibly the biggest nerd Minako has ever talked to in her whole life.

But it's also one of the amusing things she's ever seen. She giggles when he starts calling for the cat like that. ]

Is it Spots? Which tree is he in? [ Minako's already walking a bit between the various trees, looking up at them.. Trying to see if she can find the cat from down here as well. ]

I'll need to look up close.

[With a small "meow" Ren starts to climb down the tree slowly. There's a bunch of twigs and random stuff stuck in his hair. Minako might notice a bird's egg sitting right on his head. Apparently his hair makes a fine nest.]

There's a cat three o'clock to your right. Or is it tree oclock?

[reloves]

I'm pretty sure we're just hitting pun overload at this point..

[ And when even Minako, queen of all things ridiculous, points that out.. then it's getting pretty bad. For real. But it just means she won't pun for the moment, instead turning towards the direction he was pointing out, squinting at the tree above. ]

I guess it does look like something is rustling in there! It's too hard to see through the leaves though, you'll just have to pounce it! [ Especially when he's already meowing like a cat to begin with. Embrace the full cat life, Ren. ]

I'll check it out.

[Nonsense. There's never enough puns in this world, silly Minako. He's already embracing the full cat life! Send help. Ren carefully inspects the bush and starts poking around. Oh look. There he is. Spots is alive, rejoice.]

He's here.

[reloves]

[ Minako clasps her hands together, squealing. ]

Ahh, he's safe! Thank goodness.. [ You never know what could happen to cats running around by themselves in a place like this, after all. If an ayakashi had gotten to it before they could.. ]

Come on, grab him and never let go anymore..!

Over here little guy.

[Ren picks up Spots and hugs him tightly. ]

He seems okay, thanks to you.

[He offers Minako a bright smile! Everything turned out well, didn't it?]
