I can already tell you they're not going to stay out of it. 100% sure. I don't even know who you're talking about, yet I can say that for sure!

It's just how friends are, you know? If one of your friends was dating someone you thought was really rude, wouldn't you want to make sure that person wasn't acting that way to your friend as well?

They're mad that this person wants to spend time with me instead of with them I think. Part of it is that I have been a big jerk but part of it is just jealousy.

How do you know both of those are the reason though? Do they ever seem jealous?

Not necessarily saying you're a jerk, I'm just playing the mill's advocate!

I am a jerk, and they are really jealous. They have to be the best at everything and they decided that they know best about what this person needs. Even if I'm just minding my own business they'll come up and start picking a fight.

Well, you can't really do anything about them being jealous, but you can do something about the jerk part. Just start bettering yourself first, and then the other problem might slowly resolve itself too! If you show you can be fully nice, I doubt the person you like would just let the whole jealous friends deal still happen.

Yeah! Don't they say that when you want to make the world better, you have to start with yourself? I think it works the other way around too.. If someone starts to try and act better, the other people around them might follow suit!
