what's the best way to get a cat to stop following you around

it won't go even though i'm ignoring it

Have you tried feeding it?

(This is terrible advice, please don't listen to her--)

Once distracted by the meal, you can run away.

I'm afraid you have a cat now.

Have you picked a name?

If you find out, let me know. My shinki's a goddamn magnet for strays.

Cat food is relatively inexpensive.

Or is there some other reason you can't take care of it?

Don't cats generally like when people don't ask for their attention all the time more? So ignoring it would do the exact opposite of what you want it to do.

if you find out, please don't let god up there know. he complains about the ducks and the cats but he actually likes them a lot and he wouldn't have the heart to get them to stop following him anyway.

also, why would you want to?

Absolutely on purpose, though I don't think I'd be too surprised if they did it on their own, at this point.

i cant help it if a few ducks followed me home

[It was around 300 ducks, Souji.]

i will admit that i took the cats home because they were abandoned
i really dont see the problem
and in that case i hope you never find out (Ā“-ε-ļ½€)

It doesn't seem to be a problem with animals.

At least, although I didn't adopt any of the animals in my temple, they do seem to be living creatures.

[And that is why he's had to stock not just cat and dog food, but a roll of plastic bags for picking up after Bon, too.]

Then you'd have a friend for life.

(She's not very helpful, sorry.)

You'll never get rid of it. It'll hunt you down and live at your house no matter what you do.

Unless it likes that too. But it'll let you know when it doesn't want attention any more.

Get someone it likes better to adopt it, maybe?
