They have various forms and sizes. Some could definitely be strangled. But if that's not your preferred method of dispatching enemy there are other possibilities.

Your god could handle it this way: take a sock, or something similar, not a bag, because it might be too big to get a strong hold, and plastic is less durable then fabric. Then place your vessel in said sock, swing it around as fast as he or she can, and club the intended target.

Of course it would require a careful positioning and prior identification of weak spot would help immensely, but it could be very effective.

You could play music for your god, which empowers them. I imagine the effect would be based on the composition and genre of the music. Something like dubstep for speed, metal for strength, pop for healing, that sort of thing.

well i haven't tried it. maybe at some point i'll try to pick a pair of headphones up and see.

Why have you waited this long to try? It seems like it's the most natural option. Being proactive in finding the nature of your abilities is far more productive than sitting around feeling sorry for yourself.

You can still find another god to work with. Shinki can be released from service at any time, so I'm not saying it has to be a permanent arrangement. But sitting idle while your god does other things doesn't help either of you.

Yes, and that's why I'm saying to blame Saitama's goldfish-sized attention span for your confusion. You can do that, Genos. A god can claim a shinki - typically a willing shinki - at any time by giving them a new, unique name. Similarly, they can release their shinki from service by revoking the name.
