Is there a difference between wishes and prayers? If a god makes a wish here... does someone hear it somewhere and make it happen?

I think if you made a wish to another god, they'd hear it.

But I don't know what god I would wish it to?

Huuuh... I don't think so. They're both things you want, right?

I guess so, but maybe they're supposed to work differently? That's why I wanted to know.

Maybe prayers are for important things and wishes are for everything else? I mean... ( He's thinking! Tapping his pencil on the table, ) People pray for things like good health and luck and happiness but they don't really pray for toys...? ( Maybe? He doesn't sound too sure. He doesn't really know at all. ) Well, I guess people can pray for toys too...
( Because there sure were a lot of toy prayers recently... )

Text
a wish is more like a hope? You might make it like a prayer and you want it to come true, but it's not being made to anyone specific
A prayer is more asking someone like a god to do something.
So one is hoping something will happen and the other is wanting someone to intervene.

You can't just hope it will happen and expect it.
I wonder if wishing on a star is actually a prayer? Probably not birthday candles though.

Hi, Hakkai! What if it's something you don't know if you can do on your own, though?

He doesn't like frivolous events, but...Nanako is really too young to not be able to have that innocent celebration.]
So it's your birthday soon?

And why not? If we answer wishes and prayers, why wouldn't someone do that for us?
no subject
I don't know. I've never gotten a prayer from another god before. I don't think? Did you?
