Is there a difference between wishes and prayers? If a god makes a wish here... does someone hear it somewhere and make it happen?

I don't know, does it? My dad always told me, when I blow out birthday candles, that you're not supposed to tell your wish.

That's true, but that was on the Near Shore. I'm sure birthday wishes drift to the Far Shore just like prayers do. Otherwise how would they come true?
