Hello, everyone. I've been working on lists for study groups, and references for them as well as investigative notes, but I wanted to pose a different offer this time. Hence, why this post will have attachments in the form of photos rather than text this time.

[ Follow his trek, everyone, through the kitchen and under the free standing stairs, to one of his numerous tatami rooms that lead outside on the first floor. He's immediately greeted by a chorus of meows and chirps, any sort of noise a cat might make when pleased at a person, and that's where he comes to a stop. ]

I've been picking up stray cats, as well as cats from the shelter that were having a hard time finding families, and have been working on socializing them. All of them are in good health at the moment, have had all their vaccines and the like, and are fixed - except one, but more on her in a moment. You see, I've been hoping to find them permanent homes, either here or on the other Shore. Pretty much all of the ones I have are currently ready for that, so I was wondering if there was anyone that was maybe considering a cat for a companion.

Anyone that isn't homed is going to go up for adoption to the other Shore, but I figured you all could have first dibs.

If you just want to come and see them, you can do that, too. The aforementioned special cat is actually a new mother, so there are newborn kittens here now.

As mentioned, there are pictures attached. What these cats look like are up to dealer's choice, if they wanted to adopt one or coo over one in particular, and Souji literally has enough variety that any picture would do.

Awww, those are cute! Finally, some wholesome, classic Internet concern in this forum.

I could take one that won't get picked by others, the most unwanted one of the litter. The one with the personality that's harder to tame, or the one that's least attractive. I think those too deserve a chance for love or redemption.

[OP doesn't seem the type to throw them out so it won't be like with his previous pet, but...]

[ Well, that's certainly an interesting description. Souji traverses through his cats until he gets to the next room, the one that doesn't lead outside, and takes a picture that he attaches to his response. ]

I wouldn't call any of them particularly unattractive, since they all have their charm points, but this one has one eye and a crooked paw from a break healing poorly, plus his flat face and snaggletooth.

Huh. This fellow has a remarkable resemblance to my father! Surely looks like an old warrior king. If he doesn't have a name yet, I would go with something like the Odincat.

[ Father... Odin... well, stranger things in a place like this! He moves on without batting an eye. ]

Something that you'd absolutely get to call him - he has no name yet, and would likely be just fine with that. Especially given the fact that's rather appropriate. If you'd like him, all you really have to worry about is him snoring, too.

Hopefully he likes such a name! [After all, Loki might be clever but he's no good at naming anything. His past attempts were Thori (Thor + the letter I) and an anagram of his own name. The receivers of such names were not too amused.]

Snoring is nothing. My last pet spit fire when excited, so a bit of cute noise during naps sounds harmless. And honestly, I would like to film that and post it on the Internet.

[ At least in this case the cat probably won't care either way, or even know that it's a not particularly clever naming choice. ] The Odincat would be honored to have such a name, I think.

[ ... it's not Meowdin, anyways. But Souji digresses. ] If you film it and post it to the internet, I would be an immediate fan. And it's a lot less dangerous than fire spitting.

You'd be surprised. The aforementioned fire-breathing dog was repulsed for being called after the most heroic of the gods. [He's too used to sentient magical animals to consider that this poor battered cat may lack deep opinions.

Meowdin is a really good one. Alas, little Loki's not clever in the pun department.]

Let's give it a chance, then! Where should I go to, Izanagi's temple I assume?
