New here, or pretty sure I am. I might have been here before. I remember a guy who was a god, my god, but I just got here and I'm pretty damn sure I ain't no shinki.

It's giving me a serious case of the Twilight Zone feels here. Anyone else had this happen?

[A certain someone got themselves dead after Sora left and has come back as a god. Memory loss, yay!]

Also, does every temple come with a cat or three? The horse at least makes sense.

And no, not every temple comes with animals. My god's temple certainly doesn't have any animals around it.

There have been several cases of shinki becoming gods. It's uncommon, but far from unheard of. Do you know the exact time you woke up as a god here?

The white cat with the ribbon is named May. Sora seems to have entrusted her to you, so I expect you'll take good care of her in the meantime.

It's likely that Sora vanished around the same time you became "promoted". Something similar happened to myself. I originally arrived here as a shinki, but the same day my god vanished I was promoted to my current position.

It's short for Mayhem. [cute and cool!! even if Add is the only one who cares about edgy cat names] I'll be keeping an eye on her regardless, so treat her well or else. If you really are responsible then that shouldn't be a problem.

["keeping an eye on her" may also be literal, once he tracks down where Nari's temple is. Try not to be too freaked out by any eyes appearing on the walls in a few days...]

I think it depends on what kind of god one is supposed to be. I'm apparently supposed to fill in for a horse goddess, and the temple has a whole lot of horses, but also other animals like cats and dogs and chickens. That all just suits me just fine though, much more than the god thing does. I always did love working with horses and other animals. If you're something that has to do with cats or horses, or if you yourself have anything to do with them, maybe that's why you have them?

Neptune, god of seas, lakes, earthquakes, soil, storm, and horses. But the horse I've got is the one I once had back home. The cats? I just love them.

It hasn't happened to me personally, but I have heard it's possible for gods and shinki to come back as the other. As for animals, the cathedral didn't have any when I arrived. I assume it's different for every god.

That's right. I've been assigned the role of an Archangel here, so I have a cathedral instead of a temple.
