When: During the Haunted Festival Season

Where: The NearShore

What: After he decides to answer a prayer concerning the set-up of one of a handful of Haunted festivals popping up.

Warnings: PG-13

 

 

i. The Melted Vampire

 

[ Why he decided to answer this particular prayer Zero isn't certain anymore. All he knows is that it's hot and vampires weren't meant for the summer sun, so have a tired Zero taking a five minute break under the tree which looks more like a passed out vampire in the shade. ]

 

 

ii. Banner Woes

 

[ The god of the Underworld is standing on top of a large ladder holding onto a banner trying to hook it to a spot just out of reach. He stretches, on his tippy-toes and there! Almost got it, but the moment he moves to hook it on a rush of wind picks up with enough force to snap the end of the banner from his hold making him lose his balance and down down the tumbles hitting the ground with a painful grunt as his banner goes flying off.

This is not his day. orz ]

 

 

iii. The Cursed Voodoo Doll

 

[ You're walking down the street, minding your own business when you see a ten foot, three-headed dog rush past you with a life-sized voodoo doll clutched in its mouth. crashing your way followed by a tired vampire who waves a hand in the air in a menacing manner. ]

 

Cerberus! Get back here!!!

 

[ Will you help him? Point and laugh or go on your way, either way you really don't have much choice because the Hellhound has circled around and is making a beeline for you while a bodiless voice yells from behind. ]

 

Cerberus! No!

[ota. Make your own scenario! ]

[Somebirdie sure is unlucky today. But whether it's Hiyoko, Zero, or Cerberus is kind of hard to say.

Either way, when the hunting goddess turns to see a huge multi headed dog rushing her way, she pulls her spear off her back and faces him boldly. Holding the spear in front of her she calls out in a firm voice full of conviction.]

Bad. Dog. You STAY!!

[ Cerberus doesn't slow his headlong run toward her and merely jumps over her in a single bound missing her with ease. ]

[Since she'd been expecting to either reward him with a treat if he sat as commanded or to become the treat herself, Hiyoko has to hand it to the doggie for creativity. She watches it sail over her head in awed surprise.]

Wow, that dog is something else! I'm gonna need a really big newspaper...

[ Zero comes in from behind, heart racing as he comes to a stop, shoulders heavy from the heat and the headlong run after the hellhound. ]

What are you doing?!

I. maybe we can play some of these parts in sequences? :D

You really have terrible adaptation when it comes to the sun.

[ Well here comes Ichiru from the tree. Let's not ask why he's been up there but he seemed a little amused that Zero looks so miserable. At the teasing was harmless. ]

You could always ask for assistance if you're struggling.

II. and going.

[ At the very least, Ichiru decided to tag along for this specific prayer not quite understanding Why Zero did such odd prayers but he did and somehow it was rather fun in its own way for Ichiru to go with him.

He ends up catching the banner that was flying off somewhere down the line and approaching Zero's tumbled self in a matter of about ten or fifteen minutes. He stifles a laugh. It seemed like Zero was having a rather bad day. ]

Are you certain you haven't been overworking yourself?

jfc Ichiru!!!!

[ Zero snaps his head up at the stifled laugh, glaring at the approaching figure even as he rubs at the area where he'd hit the ground point blank. ]

Why are you still doing here.

[ You know, since you're not helping whatsoever. >_< ]

To assist. You were rather adamant in me doing my responsibilities as a shinki after all.

[ He shrugs lightly as he dangles the banner at Zero. ]

I suppose you don't need this then?

[ Yes he is. He got your damn banner for you! ]

III. At least Ichiru's fairly used to this. XD

[ Well it would make sense if he was minding his own business but Cerberus didn't really make it easy for him when the large dog zoomed past him and Zero was quick on his tail. On top of that he was coming straight for Ichiru and he wasn't exactly prepared to dodge that just yet. Instead, he sort of stands there staring at the three headed dog. ]

Cerberus what did you do this time?

[ He tilts his head as he braced himself for the creature to probably collide into him or take him along. Either way, it seemed like Zero might need that voodoo doll. AS hilarious as this all seemed, he supposed he could assist. ]

omfg I can't even with you Ichiru!

[moonlitknight]

[ Screw the voodoo doll Ichiru! Get out of the damn way! Goddamn it! ]

CERBERUS!

[ The commanding tone that rings out has the hellhound coming to a sudden stop in front of his brother. Two heads turn around to look at the god, while the third drops the doll in front of Ichiru. ]

he's expecting cerberus to not run him over so it's all good. SEE!

[forsakens]

[ He's not because the dog was running too damn fast!!!! ]

...Seems like he can still obey orders.

[ He chuckles as he picked up the slobber covered voodoo doll that one of the heads dropped in front of Ichiru. ]

Good boy.

[ He reaches to pat the third head that dropped the doll in front of him. ]

Have you all been troubling Zero again?

omg Ichiru! XDD

[ Zero has enough strength to turn his head and glare up at his brother but doesn't bother getting up or more like he can't at the moment. ]

What do you want.

[ A muttered response as prespiration has his hair mottled to his temple. ]

you gotta love his snarky ass self. I enjoy this ichiru very much!

[forsakens]

[ Ichiru just gives him a look for the glare. It doesn't affect him and it never has. He's seriously just giving Zero a blank look for his glare. ]

You look like you could use some assistance.

[ He lightly replies. ]

After all it seems like the heat has gotten to you, Zero.

I love these little moments! And lol Zero being a brat!

I'm fine.

[ Zero... you want to repeat that from down there? Splayed out on the ground? ]

[Lavi happens to be walking by when he sees the flying banner.

Reaching up, he quickly grabs the banner and looks around to see where it came from. It won't take long before he notices Zero, walking over to him.]

Missing something?

[moonlitknight]

[ Zero's discarded of his jacket by this point leaving him in a white shirt that got a generous amount of dirt when he hit the ground from ten feet high. His side still hurt but his healing was already taking care of the bruising by the time he went looking for the banner. So when he comes across Lavi he's looking exactly how he feels - like shit. ]

[ An automatic response as he moves to take the banner from him to continue with the work. ]

[He'll hand the banner over, though he looks slightly confused.]

What's the banner for?

[And also, do you need a bottle of water, Zero? You look like you need one.]

[ Yes, yes he does. But he'll never admit that he kind of forgot to bring one. ]

Haunted house.

[ He tells him as he wipes beads of sweet from his temple. Why the hell was it so hot?! ]

[Corrin is taking a walk in the same area for awhile. She's looking to take a break when she spots a tree not that far away from her. She walks over there when it looks like someone is passed out underneath it. Oh no! Corrin quickly goes over to them and takes a seat.

Okay, she doesn't have much experience when it comes to medical things, but she can't leave him to go get someone. Corrin leans close, trying to see if he's hurt anywhere.]

Hey, can you hear me? Are you okay?

[Please be okay.]

[moonlitknight]

[ He doesn't move, he doesn't even look like he's breathing but after a long moment he'll shift an arm and try to get up but his hand his shaking and the guy doesn't look like he'll be getting up anytime soon. ]

[twilightdragon]

[Wait, how come it looks like he's not breathing? Corrin doesn't worry about that when she sees his hand shaking. He doesn't look like he would be able to walk for long if he even managed to get up. Corrin shakes her head as she tries to settle him down.]

Please lay back down, you still need some time to catch your breath.

[ Annnnnnd he's going to try a second time only to get as far as his hands and knees. Just give him a second. He's got this. Third time's the charm they say. Besides, he's fine. Just needed a breather, nothing wrong here. As for that breather, his shoulders are rising a little too heavily for someone only taking a breather. ]

[It was like deja vu, seeing a familair form laying beneath a tree. Except he was bigger this time. Considering the attitude he gave her when they saw each other before, she wasn't so inclined to approach him, but she remembered that he had a weak constitution, and she coudln't in good conscience just leave Ichiru like that. Letting out a sigh she walks over to him, nudging his shoe with hers.]

Oi, didn't you learn from the last time?

[moonlitknight]

[ He doesn't move, he doesn't even look like he's breathing but after a long moment he'll shift an arm and try to get up but his hand his shaking and the guy doesn't look like he'll be getting up anytime soon. ]

[redmare]

[Shit, is he dead? Oh thank god, he moved. So he's still just dying. He looks even worse than before. She crouches down next to him, putting a hand behind his back to support him.]

....Hey, you're really not looking good. We need to get you indoors.

[She reaches for the jug she has with her. It's been pretty hot lately so she's tried to make it a point to bring water around with her. She pops open the cap and holds it to his mouth]

Here, drink some water first.
