Who: Zero and OPEN

When: During the Haunted Festival Season

Where: The NearShore

What: After he decides to answer a prayer concerning the set-up of one of a handful of Haunted festivals popping up.

Warnings: PG-13

 

 

i. The Melted Vampire

 

[ Why he decided to answer this particular prayer Zero isn't certain anymore. All he knows is that it's hot and vampires weren't meant for the summer sun, so have a tired Zero taking a five minute break under the tree which looks more like a passed out vampire in the shade. ]

 

 

ii. Banner Woes

 

[ The god of the Underworld is standing on top of a large ladder holding onto a banner trying to hook it to a spot just out of reach. He stretches, on his tippy-toes and there! Almost got it, but the moment he moves to hook it on a rush of wind picks up with enough force to snap the end of the banner from his hold making him lose his balance and down down the tumbles hitting the ground with a painful grunt as his banner goes flying off. 

............

This is not his day. orz ]

 

 

iii. The Cursed Voodoo Doll

 

[ You're walking down the street, minding your own business when you see a ten foot, three-headed dog rush past you with a life-sized voodoo doll clutched in its mouth. crashing your way followed by a tired vampire who waves a hand in the air in a menacing manner. ]

 

Cerberus! Get back here!!!

 

[ Will you help him? Point and laugh or go on your way, either way you really don't have much choice because the Hellhound has circled around and is making a beeline for you while a bodiless voice yells from behind. ]

 

Cerberus! No! 

 

 

iv. Wildcard

[ota. Make your own scenario! ]

Tch.

[ Another fruitless tug. He doesn't want to pull too hard and accidentally hurting him, so he'll give in just this once! ]

Look. It's cursed okay, so will you let go.

[forsakens]

[ Well at least that's progress. He doesn't entirely let go but he does loosen it a bit. Though, he tilts his head still wondering what Zero meant by that. ]

What kind of curse? It can't be that terrible.

[moonlitknight]

What does it matter?!

[ Another tug. Just let go already! ]

[forsakens]

Because you are being ridiculously cryptic about it.

[ He tugs back this time. ]

[moonlitknight]

[ And Zero's going to tug right back, this time harder than the last attempts. ]

[forsakens]

[ If it rips, it's not his fault. Maybe they'll both be cursed? He yanks it back. ]

Will you at least explain?

[moonlitknight]

[ And another tug later has a loud tearing sound ripping through the air followed by a loud creak from up abov--Wait. Creak?! Zero looks up just in time to see a large branch come crashing down on them. ]

Ichiru!

[ And he's tackling them both out of the way seconds before the branch crashes down on them. ]

[forsakens]

[ Well there goes that. The fragile thing is now destroyed and Ichiru is staring at the ripped half a bit curiously before the sound made him alert. Before he had time to react on his own, he was tackled down as the branch falls right on the spot that Ichiru had been standing moments before.

Well that certainly explained a lot of things. ]

Is it some sort of Ayakashi?

[ The freaking voodoo doll... Eventually, Ichiru carefully pushes Zero off of him because as much as Zero (might be) enjoying this. Ichiru does not. ] Such violence.

[moonlitknight]

[ Now that he mentions it... Zero rolls off him the moment he pushes him off, and grabs the doll to confirm his sudden suspicion but the thing just stares back at him. There's not eerie sense of darkness coming off it. It's just creepy. ]

No... I don't sense one.

[ But then, how did a tree branch just so happen to fall on top of them the moment they tore it? ]

[forsakens]

[ It was only natural to assume something like that because it's not everyday a branch almost tries to kill two people right? Especially, right after tearing the thing in half in which Ichiru somewhat regrets but at the same time, he's read to apprehend it. ]

This is troublesome. If it isn't a Ayakashi, then what is it? Branches don't simply fall coincidentally on two people as soon as a doll is ripped in two. That's rather too convenient isn't it?

[ He eyes Zero, as he starts to slide the hidden weapon in his sleeve. ]

[moonlitknight]

.... I don't know.

[ Zero answers as he continues to stare down at the doll but he doesn't sense anything. Neither his Hunter or Vampire senses seem to find anything wrong with it and the part of him that made him a god.... it's silent. ]

[forsakens]

Tch'

[ He clicked his tongue in annoyance as he looked at the doll. There wasn't anything he could see either. Of course, he really wanted to probably give a piece of his mind to whoever decided to prank the if it was a joke. ]
