I think there are people that choose to be alone, and that's their decision. Whatever will make them happy.
Whether some are meant to be alone...
I spent a lot of my childhood lonely. I wouldn't really wish it on another person, generally, though there are some that have done terrible things that I wouldn't want around others.

I cannot come to any conclusive decision whether I want to be alone and independent or in love with someone worthy of my trust and loyalty. I have been alone for years. Even when I was surrounded by people, I was alone. Monsters took my family from me and each betrothal and marriage only served to break my heart.
