Have you ever been in love before? Was it returned?

Do you think some are meant to be alone?

(These are the thoughts she entertains when her temple is quiet and her fires burn low.)

You need not get into specifics if it is uncomfortable for you.

No one can choose to make someone love them, but one can certainly try to tip the scales in their favor so to speak. If you find someone you wish to spend your life with, you may choose to reveal your innermost feelings in hopes they feel the same or remain silent and hope they make the first move. But ultimately, it is as you say. You cannot choose who is drawn to you but what you can choose is how to respond.

The red string of fate is an old belief. They say our fates are intertwined and our souls are bound to those we are meant to be with with an invisible red string. It is up to you to decide whether or not to believe that there is indeed one destined for you, bound by this red string or if you would rather take your chances in the dating pool searching for them.
