Hey! Um... so I've been thinking about this for a couple of days, but I heard....

[He trails off before regrouping. He should've rehearsed this before he started recording it, but he's got no idea how to go back and delete and re-record now. Onward!]

I heard I used to be a god! I mean, I don't remember, obviously, but if I really was, I guess I should say I'm sorry. And I look forward to meeting you all again. And, um.

[Really should have rehearsed.]

I don't owe anybody money, right?

[He laughs uncomfortably and rushes ahead.]

-- Anyway I guess that's about it! Nice to meet you all again! Sorry I forgot!

[Nailed it. Before he can think better of this whole idea, he hastily stops the recording and hits send.]

No. Certainly not.

Our existence relies on our followers. If a god isn't remembered by anyone, they disappear when they die. Otherwise, we return as children with no memories of our previous incarnation.

A god returning as a shinki and vice versa is unheard of.

Does anybody know why us newbies are different?

[dominatriarch]

I can only imagine it might tie in to how you were brought here. Your circumstances are different from ours.

Somehow it isn't surprising that the rules for all of you are different in turn.

Yeah, maybe so. It's weird to think we might be something different even when we're doing the same job though.

It makes me wonder what else is different about us, you know?

It is... even more with the fact that some of you come from a Japan different from the one you were brought to. It isn't something I'll pretend to understand completely but these are unusual circumstances to say the least.

How do you know

oh you mean gods, right? Wow, this is like some kind of science fiction thing.

I've heard of some speak of things that can't be found here. Even if they spoke of places like Japan and Tokyo... things were different.

Certain places that should be there aren't. Humans having abilities Near Shore residents would never posses. Glaring differences.

Huh. I mean, my first thought is they could just be wrong, but you're right, somebody else just told me she's from another world too.

How do people get brought here from other worlds, though? I didn't even know other worlds existed. Except for the world of the gods and the world of the dead, that kind of thing.
