I know that adjusting to a new name is a serious undertaking for most people, but the common use of an individual's god name does not seem to be wide spread. Admittedly, my sample size is still relatively small, but most of the other gods I have met thus far have introduced themselves with their mortal names first, and then given their god name second. Is this because many have not yet adjusted to the new name, or are we not supposed to use our god names?
I'm making the adjustment myself, and I think it would be easier if I was a little more informed about what my relationship with my god name is meant to be. I, personally, am perfectly comfortable with dropping my old title in favor of Hermes, but if it's something meant for followers only, I can adjust my expectations accordingly.

Humanity is unique like that. They live and the world lives with them.

Without art and beauty, human lives feel empty and meaningless, after all.
Besides, you obviously have thoughts and feelings of your own. You are certainly worth more than any inanimate object, especially if only five of you were created. You are incredibly old and rare, something many people find valuable beyond measure. In the time that you have existed, you have experienced more than I could possibly imagine. Life need not be defined by the manner of your existence, but instead measured by the quality of your experiences.

I can't say that my existence could be special or that my experiences something that could be measured as being rewarding. The idea of having more of us is revolting, especially since there had been a few people that showed me how complex humanity could be. As for being valuable, I've been valued as an object before. It's not something I want again.

If you don't want to be valued as an object, find value as a person.
And don't rely on anyone else to give you value. You have to define it for yourself.

I had found some. It's my nature to want to have more of the same.
That sounds like something stolen from out of a useful book of sayings or an American fortune cookie.

Humans always want more too. Maybe you're not so different as you want to believe.
It's a lesson I had to learn the hard way. If you rely on others to determine your worth, you will always come up wanting. I spent most of my life being not good enough. Now, I'm the only one who can say what's good enough.

I am a Greeed. We were created to always want. Though I suppose that has changed a little now that I'm suppose to be a god now.

Do you feel like it's changed? Have you found some measure of satisfaction?

It had at one time. I am unsure at this moment.
