Okay, with Obon coming up quickly I was wondering if anyone needs a date to this celebration.

Us shinki don't really have a connection to our ancestors anymore and we wouldn't remember them even if we did. So I figure it'd be better to hang out with someone you have a bit more in common with, right?

Apparently a big holiday where people see off their ancestors or something.

Rather than simply honoring them, then, like they do during All Souls Day. It sounds a little similar to Day of the Dead but then I only know a little about that so maybe not.

This is all pretty new to me. I can't even remember if I cared about these days in life.

Even if you did or not, all you need to find out is if you care now or not, isn't it?

I guess that's true. Though it's hard to feel connected to a holiday that involves a past I can't remember.

I guess it might be. Are there no holidays that involves the future instead in Japan?

There are probably a few. I haven't really asked around. Mostly I'm just going by whatever the heavens prepare.

Do they prepare a lot of them?

Haven't been around that long but they've had a few parties and a couple of holidays now.

So you been here long? In approximation, how many in comparison to, month, or something, has there been, if you go by that?

I'd say about two months now. Give or take a week or so when I wasn't paying attention to such things.

That isn’t all that long, but you have been here a little while at least, then.

Long enough to get the hang of things, but not long enough to really claim to know what I am doing.

I guess so. That might take long times. That goes for anything.

I guess so. Not like I have something to reference.
