Okay, with Obon coming up quickly I was wondering if anyone needs a date to this celebration.

Us shinki don't really have a connection to our ancestors anymore and we wouldn't remember them even if we did. So I figure it'd be better to hang out with someone you have a bit more in common with, right?

Yup, I suppose it is! I was thinking more along the lines of finding someone to hang out with at Obon rather than roaming the celebrations solo.

There's nothing selfish about wanting to spend time with other people, is there? Maybe you're not giving yourself enough credit?

Whatever the case, I hope you find someone to have fun with. I don't think any of our ancestors would want us to have a sad time, even if we don't remember them.
