[The video cuts to Axel, smiling tiredly. He must be in bed, given that there are pillows behind him and he's covered up to his chest in sheets. It's all white, looks pretty idyllic.]

Sorry for that... Extended absence. I collapsed while caring for the sacred fire. Gave my shinki a bit of a scare.

[He laughs a little, but it turns into a cough.]

Basically, I burned myself out. Any of you have advice on what to do while you're supposed to be resting? I'd appreciate it; nice as this vacation is, I'm gonna go stir-crazy here.

The first thing that comes to mind is Sidney Sheldon, in that case. It's more crime/thriller and I'm not sure if they're classified as spy novels... The book "If Tomorrow Comes" is about a con artist and there's espionage in "Windmills of the Gods" for example. Anyway, it's something around 40 years since his first book was released and they're all pretty good.

Ummm some? 18 novels? He did some stuff for Broadway too though, though that’s not book stuff.

The first one is “The Naked Face”. Some of the books go together as series. For example “Memories of Midnight” is the sequel of “The Other Side of Midnight” and is followed by “The Doomsday Conspiracy”, and there are more in that series as well. But others are stand-alone.
