[The video cuts to Axel, smiling tiredly. He must be in bed, given that there are pillows behind him and he's covered up to his chest in sheets. It's all white, looks pretty idyllic.]

Sorry for that... Extended absence. I collapsed while caring for the sacred fire. Gave my shinki a bit of a scare.

[He laughs a little, but it turns into a cough.]

Basically, I burned myself out. Any of you have advice on what to do while you're supposed to be resting? I'd appreciate it; nice as this vacation is, I'm gonna go stir-crazy here.

If it's a regular check-in then you can always do something more active outside those times. As long as it's not doing enough to you that they notice. I doubt the cat will care that much.

You could always bribe it to stay quiet.

I was hoping for advice on what to do while legitimately bedridden. Sneaking out can wait. Also, given that this is public, is not something I want to discuss.

If you're legitimately bedridden, you should be asleep instead of texting people.

It's not like I know your temple layout to discuss sneaking out plans so complex you'd get caught for them. Unless you're so bad at sneaking out that people being aware you might do it at all is enough to stop you.

I've been sleeping for a week, it feels like. I'm sick of it.

I'm fine at sneaking, I'm just outnumbered and the cat will tattle.

If you can't get hold of enough food to shut the cat up at least temporarily, that's your problem. It's not hard to get a cat's favour.

That's true. Of course, it doesn't help that one of my shinki is undoubtedly watching this conversation. I'll have to be subtle.
