[The video cuts to Axel, smiling tiredly. He must be in bed, given that there are pillows behind him and he's covered up to his chest in sheets. It's all white, looks pretty idyllic.]

Sorry for that... Extended absence. I collapsed while caring for the sacred fire. Gave my shinki a bit of a scare.

[He laughs a little, but it turns into a cough.]

Basically, I burned myself out. Any of you have advice on what to do while you're supposed to be resting? I'd appreciate it; nice as this vacation is, I'm gonna go stir-crazy here.

Last time it happened was back in my home world, and I woke up here. I'm lucky to have survived this time. I'm kinda sore and light-headed, but other than that I'm fine.

So what you're saying is you had a near-death experience, but other than that you're fine?

There's no way something like that is normal. Not only that, but why would you willingly expend that much energy on a task that ultimately isn't your problem? So what if some fire goes out? Just because you were given the role of Hestia doesn't mean you have to risk killing yourself to perform their duties.

I don't know, it just felt like a big deal at the time. I still get the feeling it would be really bad if it went out. Plus I didn't realize I was spending so much energy.

Who said anything about being worried? If you died over something stupid that would have nothing to do with me.

My only concern is that this incident could be related to the recent attacks against the Heavens, perhaps if the assailants have decided to start targetting the other gods as well. It could also be the result of changes within this world that fall under your god's jurisdiction. What does Hestia's sacred fire represent?

Sure.

I think it represents enlightenment and sacrifice. The fire failing could be related to the attacks, or it could just be a random thing, but there wasn't anyone else in my temple.

If it's a sacrificial fire, perhaps next time you should try throwing someone into it.

How can you know for sure there was no one else in the temple? Were you actively observing the fire before it started to go out, or is it possible something may have been done to it while you weren't looking?

I was paying attention to it, yeah. It may have started while I was taking a shower, but it seemed to start while I was alone in the room, except for the cat.
