alright now that shits calmed down after last weeks spectacular and unplanned bonfire night
time to get to the real crux of the issue here
by which i of course mean vacation talk

like come the fuck on people
we were all over the world
where are all the shitty tourist stories
scandalous and weird pantheon relationships unveiled
is zeus still knocking up everything with a pulse or has he gone modern with the rest of us
or if youre not the shittalking type then what was the most fucking awesome shit you encountered on your soul searching journey to your homeland
or your gods homeland depending
there has been a grave lack of talk about this and i for one will not stand for it

Yes, that's true. I can explain it if you like, but I think the short version can be summed up with 'shenanigans.'

I was born during a war between two neighboring countries, so to keep me safe while I was still young my parents sent me to a place called a Deep Realm where I could be raised away from the battle. Deep Realms are like little pocket dimensions where time flows faster, so it wasn't very long before I was already a teenager. My father and aunt Elise came to visit me and ended up saving me from being kidnapped by some bandits, and that's when I left to join them and the rest of the army since I was old enough to help.

I suppose it must have seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm not the only child that was born during the war and raised in a Deep Realm, after all.

Yes... that certainly was the general consensus among the members of the army. It was harder on some of us than others.

It was lonely sometimes, but I'm sure my parents had my well being in mind. The people they left me with were very kind, at least, and helped to nurture my interests.

That's true. I feel lucky to have them here, but at the same time I can't help but feel sad about the shinki among them.

as a shinki myself i havent had the experience
but its hard not to feel for having to know someone important to you is super dead
and also doesnt remember you while you remember them

I try not to think about it, but it's hard to avoid sometimes.
