[Hot on the heels of Amaterasu's announcement, there's an angry post from Barry. It shows up as fast as he can slam it out, because he is pissed.]

Awright, listen up, gods and shinki! And not the ones like me an' Hiyoko an' the others that've been comin' here from other places. I'm talkin' to the rest of you guys - the ones who already lived here before all this. You guys're supposed to know what's goin' on, right? And not a single one of you was able to see this comin' or stop the people who did it? What's the point of havin' all those shinki when they can't even do anything to save their goddess from some jerks with a photocopier and a book of matches? That precious perfect sunshine child She works so hard... tries so hard for all of us, every single day, and this is what she gets - a burned down temple that she has to apologize for. That's bullshit. We can do better. She deserves better.

As much as I can, I'll make sure no one's trust gets misplaced. We have far too much to deal with as it is.

I think it's still a little too early to give any designations.

However, shall I take this as your volunteering should we decide we do need to assign further security to ensure Amaterasu's safety?

If Zeno's shinki gives permission.

[He's not wild about putting her in a combat situation, and would like to have a long, long talk with whoever turned his darling wife into a weapon he's expected to use, into a servant that he has such unfair power over.]

Zeno could do it without Kaya being present, but leaving her alone isn't appealing at all.

As much as possible, I wouldn't want to see any of you getting hurt. As much as we appreciate this concern, the safety of every newcomer is just as important, be they shinki or god.

If Zeno ever gets hurt, Your Ladyship won't see a thing. ;)

But, if Zeno's boldness may be forgiven, [though he's typing it and sending it before said forgiveness is granted, so it's just a formality, and barely,] it could be that the newcomers are here to help the old gods in ways they can't help themselves. Your Ladyship's concern that no newcomer be hurt may hurt even more in the long run.

So please remember Zeno in the event that you don't want anyone to get hurt. On the name of the Yellow Dragon God, where it lies in Zeno's power, no one will be permitted to come to harm.

I've gone down that path, Zeno. But nevertheless, please take care of yourself no matter what happens.

And I will remember you. The overflowing amount of support regarding Amaterasu's safety is encouraging, to say the least. It truly isn't my place to say but I will be willing to place my trust in these newcomers with regards to more sensitive issues. Many of you have proven your abilities as well as where your alliances lie.

That is truly appreciated in these trying times.
