My thanks to everyone who helped clean and repair the abandoned temple! I'm pleased to report that it seems to be monster free and perfectly safe. There are also new windows.

I'll be resuming tutoring there on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons starting next week. So far the subjects I'm teaching are primarily math and Japanese. Please let me know if you will be attending or if there are any other subjects you'd like to learn. Household budgeting and cooking, for example.

There's no charge for my instruction, but donations of books, furniture and classroom equipment are always welcome. Please consider this building a community space, and feel free to use it if you wish to hold any classes or meetings of your own. Add them to our schedule, clean up after yourselves and don't break anything. （⋆＾－＾⋆）ノ

Indeed I do! If you're willing to lend out some of your library, that would be perfect.

Menrva had her own, but it disappeared with her temple, and I'm afraid the Heavens' library isn't exactly as well organized as I'd like.

What subjects would you be able to teach?

I wouldn't mind. I can give you a list of what's in the collection and you can borrow as you need.

As for subjects, I'd be comfortable teaching various languages, history, survival skills, and if there's a call or interest in it, archaeology.

I'd be interested in archaeology! Perhaps there's more to learn from the abandoned temples here than I've learned so far.

And there are enough people here who need to finish their education that history and languages will be very useful.

Perhaps. I've certainly found the one I visited to be interesting. And they're full of interesting artifacts.

I hope that I can be of use then. Let me know when you'd need me? Perhaps offer signups. I don't have much formal experience, but I've TAed a little.

Some of them certainly are. Well, thank you! Sign-ups aren't a bad idea.

I think that's more formal experience teaching than most of us here likely have, so please, there's no need to be modest.

Excessive modesty can be misrepresentation too... but you know best, of course!

Yukine is studying English, I believe. He might be interested in learning from you, if that's one of the languages you can teach?

It's my native language. I could do that.

The list of what I feel confident in is English, French, Russian, Latin, Mandarin, and German. I could probably also manage Ancient Greek and Egyptian, but those are likely not useful.

Not unless someone's very interested in the history of their role.

Which could happen, of course.

Fair. Though a general mythology course might be better suited for that.

Which I suppose should also be on offer. Maybe that's something we could come back to.

Maybe independent study? I'm sure the people who'd be interested in mythology are most interested in learning about their specific gods.

That would probably be best. It's not like there's a lot of pantheonic unity.

Ha ha, no, although some people have tried!

I've often wondered what it is that determines what person finds themselves acting in the role of which deity. It seems to have at least a little to do with personality, or interests....

That sounds likely.

Though in my case, Athena was always my favorite god in the stories, growing up. Her and Artemis.

I suppose I may have a kind of affinity for Athena myself.

[Considering someone who may or may not share his soul had been her previous incarnation....]

But some people seem not to have heard of their new roles at all! Familiarity can't play too much of a part.

No, but maybe some of it.

It could also be random chance within certain parameters.
