I do not think this is the time for beach parties. Half of us cannot remember who we are. Those of us who know a shinki's past could kill them with a single word, without ever meaning for them to come to harm. This should not be accepted as normal without so much as an explanation as to why it is necessary.

What reason could there possibly be to strip someone of all memory?

Why does nobody seem to know what is going on?

It concerns me more than I can say that not only can half the people here remember nothing and no one - not even the faces of their own family, or friends - but when they try to think of it, they are made to feel afraid. Do you think that this can be to keep them safe? I hope so, but why then will nobody confirm it?

The whole thing is suspicious to me. It may be that this is just how shinki are, or it may be that someone is purposefully sealing their memories. And if it's the latter, it could be for the sake of the shinki or for something more sinister. Either way, it isn't the kind of thing that should be accepted without question.

That said, I'm also not advocating for breaking the rules, since we do have the shinkis' existences to think about. But we should absolutely investigate.

I hope that it is for their sake. Certainly I have spoken to shinki who say that is what they believe. I wish I could remember what I thought it was for, the first time I was here, but I remember nothing about that time. I did not even recognize the face of the man I was calling my master. And, now, I wonder. If it is just for the sake of the shinki, what harm could there be in saying so? Nobody would think the worse of them for it.

I do not wish to break any rules, and I certainly do not wish to harm anyone. But it seems that accepting this and saying nothing will only cause more people to be hurt.

Wait a minute. You mean you were here as a shinki before, and now you're here as a god?

I was. I do not recall it, however.

I have yet to discover why the change, or why it should have happened to me. I am grateful my memories have returned, and yet there must be many others who want the same thing.

Do you remember dying in your own world? Shinki are supposed to be dead, aren't they?
