I do not think this is the time for beach parties. Half of us cannot remember who we are. Those of us who know a shinki's past could kill them with a single word, without ever meaning for them to come to harm. This should not be accepted as normal without so much as an explanation as to why it is necessary.

What reason could there possibly be to strip someone of all memory?

Why does nobody seem to know what is going on?

Not as much as I'd like.

Or as anyone would like. It's almost laughable considering they want us to do their dirty work.

That is also a concern, yes. How can we know if we should be doing any of these things, if we do not know what they are achieving? Dispatching ayakashi may be a necessity, but should we not be doing something more than just react?

Some people could probably give you reasons for that… But I’m more concerned about ourselves. Their negligence harms people.

The past is understandable, because it’s useless, but to not even tell anyone of what and how to do things now….

[Admittedly, Chikusa is mostly concerned about how this affects him and his god.]

Exactly. It has harmed people already, and it will go on doing so until whoever is behind this learns to be a little more forthcoming. With new people arriving all the time, how can we be sure that everyone is aware of what they will need to know to say safe?

If there's no gathering of basic information and people to hand it out, no one can.

It's that simple.

But being ignorant gives other people power of you so maybe it's not surprising.

It is hard to see how that can benefit whoever is behind this, though. Finding us all, and bringing us here, must be taking considerable time and effort, and yet we can undo all of that effort with a single misplaced word, and for all the power they have over us they would appear to have no way to prevent it. It seems a very strange way of handling things, that would cause far more difficulties than it solves.

And if that's a goal?

If that is a goal then it is a ridiculous one, and men with such aims should not be obeyed unthinkingly.

A lot of things are ridiculous unless you know the reasons behind them.

This post, for example. Since you're getting a lot of comments on it.

That is exactly why I wish to know what those reasons are.

I was hoping someone else might know more than I do.

As said before- the Heavens keep people in the dark when it comes to basic information.

You won't find any answers on the network for even deeper subjects.
