I do not think this is the time for beach parties. Half of us cannot remember who we are. Those of us who know a shinki's past could kill them with a single word, without ever meaning for them to come to harm. This should not be accepted as normal without so much as an explanation as to why it is necessary.

What reason could there possibly be to strip someone of all memory?

Why does nobody seem to know what is going on?

Would it need to be? Surely the people obey the orders of the King.

But a king is a king; his subjects must follow him, no matter what they may feel about his actions, or what kind of a man he may be. If he is foolish, we simply have to hope his advisers are not.

But how would our rulers here be helped by our ignorance? They went to the trouble of finding us, and of bringing us here. Why then risk us undoing all that, by harming one another through ignorance?
