I do not think this is the time for beach parties. Half of us cannot remember who we are. Those of us who know a shinki's past could kill them with a single word, without ever meaning for them to come to harm. This should not be accepted as normal without so much as an explanation as to why it is necessary.

What reason could there possibly be to strip someone of all memory?

Why does nobody seem to know what is going on?

In my time, there are a lot of illegal experiments to make the perfect soldier, or a better pilot, or some other nonsense like that. There are two schools of thought with this, one is to buy abandoned genetic material and engineer what is needed from that. The other is to take a viable physical specimen and lobotomize them, then program in what is needed.

I condone neither of these methods, yet I am intimately familiar with them, and while this isn't an excuse it is what I suspect may be one of the reasons this is happening.

Also since I do not believe this is a perfected process, it may be best not to inquire in the open about it. Though that may be my own paranoia speaking.

I am not familiar with any of the techniques you are talking about, but if that is what is going on here surely we have a responsibility to find out further? The secrecy around the creation of shinki is concerning me, and if they are not permitted to inquire into what may lie behind it then we as gods should be doing so instead. It is wrong to take so much from anyone without so much as an explanation.

If there is nothing to fear, those in charge here have nothing to lose by being open about it. If they refuse, then at least we have a clearer idea of what we are dealing with.

Well I know genetic engineering is still maybe another 3 tech jumps behind what they have here.

I'm not saying there is nothing to fear, I am saying that I do not have the data yet to be afraid or do anything but dig for more data. Sadly I suspect that the people who are doing this are hidden beyond my ability to currently find.

I do not understand the procedure that you speak of, but surely a God would have no need of worldly knowledge to achieve their aims?

I am not sure why the people behind this would have cause to hide, either. Surely they can fear nothing from us? No common man expects an audience with the King, but we all know who the King is. That even this knowledge should be hidden away from us is concerning in itself.
